I had the pulled pork on rice ! The wife had the chicken quarter and we added the armadillo eggs. Probably the best we had was the armadillo eggs. The pulled pork just lacked flavor and certainly wasn’t smokey flavors to it ! Witch for me was disappointing, i mean the whole point of eating BBQ is for the smokey flavor of the meat. Chicken had a little more flavor than the pork but not by much ! Way to much rice and it was just rice. For $36.00 you would hope to have some good flavor. My wife seemed to enjoy more than i did.

BBQ in center of Shady Cove. Fast and plenty is the name of the game. Big portions bursting with big flavors. Pork, Chicken or beef represented in a few different ways including sandwiches, platers and bento style. Several sides that are heavy to the gut but not shabby. the tri tip sandwich seems to be the game winner amongst local fans. Quick and easy when in the area.

These people treat their regulars like KINGS! Yes it’s more than a burger, but less than a pizza. And one sandwich has about a pound of meat in it. I’ve eaten about everything on the menu x3. Been there over 100 times. They are ALWAYS nice. One time I even lost my dog while there. I was in effing tears. The girl behind the grill took her apron off and helped me look for my pup. To me that speaks of the kind of buisness they are running. If I could write 10 stars I would.

I’ve given this spot 2 chances and it disappointed each time. Tri tip and pork has no flavor and it’s dry. The only thing making it tolerable is the sweet BBQ sauce. The BBQ grills a filthy and desperately need attention. Mac and cheese is just noddles, grated cheese and bacon… nothing special. This place has potential, but to call it BBQ is an overstatement.
