If I could give zero stars I truly would. THE WORST BBQ I HAVE EVER HAD‼️ First i don’t see how this could be TOP BBQ IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA. IT SHOULD BE THE WORST BBQ IN THE WORLD. Secondly, you serve THE MOST DRIEST DEADLY BBQ IN HISTORY AND TRUST TO COVER IT UP WITH THE MOST DISGUSTING VINEGARY BBQ SAUCE WITH THAT FOOD BANK BREAD THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN LEFT IN SOMEONE LANDFILL CENTURIES AGO. Thirdly, YOU TRUST TO SERVE BBQ CHICKEN WITH THE FEATHERS STILL ON IT AND TRY TO HIDE IT WITH THAT DISGUSTING BBQ SAUCE. THE LEAST YOU COULD HAVE TAKEN THE FEATHERS OFF. Fourth, I ORDERED BARBECUE BAKED BEANS NOT PORK AND BEANS OUT OF A CAN. IF I WANTED PORK AND BEANS I WOULD HAVE OPENED THEM IN MY HOUSE. I used to love Jenkins bbq when I used to visit Jacksonville but baby I could have saved time, money, and gas from traveling to Jacksonville from Gainesville. YOUR DAYS HAVE BEEN COUNTED AND I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT BACK INTO ANY JENKINS BBQ RESTAURANT.

If i could give no stars i would this place the food is horiable no selection all mustard baded sauce when you ask for plain they put sauce on it and say thats how it comes they dont remove it rib sandwich is literal ribs on the bone they have no mayo cole slaw is like a school lunch portion and is dry is heck they are over priced for nasty food i would highly recommend you not going here at all not to mention that the employees dont get anything correct

Coming in to Jacksonville a family member told I should try this place. I got a slab and a half chicken. The chicken was Dry like it has been sitting there for a couple of hours as so the ribs. The sauce didn’t even help as the food had no flavor to it. Not even the smokey taste me brother in law said. I don’t know because it’s in a different location but I wasted my money. Very upsetting and unpleasant.

Visited there based off reviews, the wait was long, It took 30 mins to serve 3 cars, the chicken was undercooked. The sides were ok but bland, and the sauce was sloppy to where the bread was soggy & overloaded with mustard; it was all mustard with a hint of barbecue sauce.

First time. Did not know half a chicken sandwich meant picking the meat off the bone and using my white bread to make a sandwich. Quality and food were pretty good. It’s just personally I’m not a fan of dissecting the meat myself. It weirds me out. But nothing against their food!

I have always heard from in-laws about the great Jenkins Barbecue! My husband and I visited this location after being disappointed with the downtown location. We order the rib sandwich and sides (baked beans and potato salad). Our food was hot. The ribs were not as tender as thejI usually enjoy, but they were overall above average. The baked beans and potato salad had a balance of flavors. The baked beans were not too sweet and the mustard base potato salad was not overpowering. The customer service was excellent! I did ask to sample the sweet sauce and preferred it over the mild flavored sauce. I highly recommend the sweet sauce! In summary, the food and customer service Jenkins’s Emerson Street is the best of the three locations. I would revisit!

I was asked to setup lunch for approximately 25 people for a work event. I was asked to select a location that is native to Jacksonville as the attendees were coming from all over the country. The first spot that came to mind was Jenkins! I moved here 10 years ago and everyone would always tell me about it, saying I absolutely needed to try them. After having Jenkins I won’t go anywhere else for BBQ. Everyone that attended our event had nothing but good things to say about the food! We had chicken, ribs, pulled pork, baked beans, and Cole slaw. The customer service was exceptional along with the price. If you are looking for amazing BBQ and quality service please call them!

I went to the one on emerson i was really surprise on the texture of thè bbq it taste like i was eating Wood it really was awful but the guess service from the drive thru was wonderful thats why i just New i was going to get a great sandwich and fries i was really disappointed i would have waited until i got back on the northside and got a great sandwich it was so awful until i am still eating it so i want loser my money i spent money that i didnt have.

Typically don’t review after 1 visit, but Jenkins earned those 5 stars! Kicking myself for missing out on this BBQ for so long. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich, fries, and coleslaw. Other reviewers noted that the sauces are mustard-based so I knew I wanted to try the sweet. The sauce is served on the sandwich AND the fries! That was a nice surprise. Everything was scrumptious. Will definitely be back again & again & again. Buying black AND supporting local biz? Yes, please!
