Enjoyed a great Mexican meal with the family and extended family on Saturday night after a terrific brunch earlier in the day at their sister restaurant/diner— Jerry’s Cafe on 4th Street (which is fantastic and we’ve been enjoying for years). This was great and is officially on the rotation now! Excellent, high quality ingredients in our queso fundido, chips & guac, chips & salsa, tacos, steak and shrimp fajitas, enchiladas suizas, taco salad (very good homemade shell!) and other food and drink. Jumbo margaritas with tajin were perfect (and happy hour special!). Looking forward to coming back!

Tried out Jerry’s tonight and it’s great! Fiancée got Enchiladas Suizas and I got AL Pastor tacos on homemade corn tortillas. Food was great but service is even better! Constantly on top of refills of drinks, chips and salsa. Definitely will go back soon!

Definitely Beloit’s best Mexican restaurant and bar! The only place with fresh ingredients, high quality meats, great tasting food and amazing bar drinks!! Service is quick and super friendly and bartenders are awesome !! The atmosphere is definitely chill and its a great place to hang with friends and family for a nice meal or even just to drink. Oh and birthday celebrations here are so nice! You guys just have to try this place out 🙂

So I don’t want to be too negative it’s a new place, but I do have some things that I’d like to see improved cause it’d be lovely to have a great Mexican dinner place in town. Me and my boyfriend sat down for dinner I’m vegetarian he’s not. I would say most of the food was pretty bland. The chips that started the meal were lukewarm. Then our drinks we both got soda but they didn’t have mellow yellow even tho it was on the menu so sprite is fine. I asked for vegetarian options they said they didn’t have anything except for a burrito without meat which is fine. I would always like more options though my boyfriend got tacos. Now I grew up on the California coast so I know that the last thing Mexican food should be is bland. But both of our meals were… the rice didn’t have much seasoning. The beans tasted straight from a can and the biggest flavor in the burrito was cilantro and onion. And my boyfriend used the limes to season his tacos and they tasted like limes which he was fine with but it wasn’t true spiced Mexican food. They had a green sauce with the burrito which I only ate half of but the sauce also didn’t have much flavoring I know cause I used the entire bowl they gave me of it. My biggest suggestion is have fun cooking and don’t be afraid to spice things up, and I’d like to see some options that are vegetarian personally! I hope this place succeeds you should try it 🙂
