Cancro Special
Provolone, roast beef and pepperoni. In the summer of ’74, the Pepsi delivery man requested a curious combination of provolone, roast beef, and pepperoni. Peter Cancro’s brother, John, liked the sandwich so much, he gave it the family name and a menu spot of its own.

Whoever was working on August 27th 2023 at 1:00 is a joke. Order online and get there at 1:10 to pick up. I tell them my name and the older lady just walks away. So I patiently wait until 1:40. My food is just sitting in a bag and not one of them told me it’s ready. Then have the audacity to say I was supposed to pick up at 1:10. Beyond worst customer service I’ve had in my life. Couldn’t even apologize. Nothing. Never going back to this location.

Highly impressed!!! I went in this morning at 11:30 AM and purchased 11 different subs. I had a sheet of paper in hand where everyone wrote down their orders and whether they wanted a beverage and chips. Suzy, Marissa, Ben and Dustin were absolutely incredible and highly efficient in getting my order completed. Suzy charged my order at the register while the others took turns reading my handwritten paper with the orders and scratching off the ones already completed. I left the restaurant at 11:47 AM with all 11 sandwiches with ZERO mistakes. When guests were walking into the restaurant, they were all greeted and the Fab Four made sure to take their order all while still working on my 11 sandwiches. They wrapped everyone’s sandwiches up nicely, and even wrote their names on the outside so I can distribute it out at my office flawlessly. Thank you to the Fab Four!!! You guys were absolutely fantastic!!!

Walked in to the Meriden Connecticut Jersey Mikes at715 pm on Friday night. and was told the grill was off even though they were cooking chicken and steak on it. The one lady was pretty unpleasant . The place looks like it’s been out of business for years from the outside. Not sure what’s going on but this is what happens when you pay your staff twenty bucks a hour. You get crack heads who never graduate high school selling food out of the back door. I’m crossing of jersey Mike on my list of places to eat.

This location was the best! They changed managers after covid and now it is pretty bad. Sandwiches are very sloppy now and service is extremely slow. Workers used to be happy and friendly. Now its obvious they dont want to be here. Go to the Middletown location for much better service.

I paid for subs I did not receive. Horrible customer service. Employees were unorganized. I spent 40 bucks on 2 grinders. And I ordered online. Subs were not ready I get home and not what I ordered. First time trying them. Not going there again.
