Cancro Special
Provolone, roast beef and pepperoni. In the summer of ’74, the Pepsi delivery man requested a curious combination of provolone, roast beef, and pepperoni. Peter Cancro’s brother, John, liked the sandwich so much, he gave it the family name and a menu spot of its own.

This location used to be good but now needs work. Very dissatisfied with the current service. Always have multiple workers in a line but it’s continuous miscommunication to each other and multiple mistakes being made on what people are asking for. The couple in front of me and the gentleman behind me, as well as myself had issues with our orders. I still, after correcting the young boy behind the counter, got the wrong sandwiches made. I asked for spices, oil, vinegar and bacon all which did not make it on. Because it was multiple issues and he just kept staring I just continued on my way as I did not want to waste what was already made but realistically should have corrected them and had them start over completely.

Maybe my expectations were too high because all I heard were rave mentionings of Jersey Mike’s at work. Maybe those closer to the shore are much better, but this particular one is alright at best. More filling than Subway, but at least comparing Philly Subs the $1.60 more at JM is about the same SW would charge for Double Meats anyways. Cookies were smaller and more expensive and tasted waxy. The pictures are the subs my brother order. 1 Regular and 1 Giant… Do you see the difference in size for $7 more? Even SW only charges $4 more… I really dislike Subway so was hoping for somewhere new to go… Basically if you want a slightly better tasting sub for much more than what SW would charge then this is the place for you.

Jersey Mike’s is one of the best sub shops around. The food is great The service is great and fast and friendly. Whenever I’m in the mood for a good sandwich I go to Jersey Mike’s. And you don’t have to buy a gigantic sub, they also have small which is a reasonable size sandwich for a quick bite. And the things that Jersey Mike’s does for charities and to help people is exceptional. I recommend it Jersey Mike’s highly and you get the same thing no matter which shop you go to. I usually go to the one on Union Hill road in morganville nice people.
