Cancro Special
Provolone, roast beef and pepperoni. In the summer of ’74, the Pepsi delivery man requested a curious combination of provolone, roast beef, and pepperoni. Peter Cancro’s brother, John, liked the sandwich so much, he gave it the family name and a menu spot of its own.

When I called back to address the mistake in my orders, their main concern appeared to be me returning the old sandwiches (without showing any sincerity for wasting my time). I had initially ordered 2 steak and cheese sandwiches: one with only provolone cheese and steak, and the second one with onions and provolone cheese. I love Jersey Mike’s subs but this place has gotten my order wrong twice. I ordered a chicken bacon ranch and the sub I recieved had neither chicken or bacon on it. The employees were sitting in the back and didn’t want to help customers. I would go the extra mile to go to another location.

The crew that works here is truly amazing. They care about their customers, they go the extra mile (or 5) every time. To the franchise owner—you have an amazing staff! We have always been happy with the food. My one complaint is that the restaurant itself is ways freezing—great in the summer but brrrrrrrr in the winter.

Tonight was my first time at this location. The very sweet woman who took my order was so respectful and was very knowledgeable on the menu. Her name was River and because of my experience with her I will be coming back to this store again . River would be a good fit for management material. I would highly recommend this location. I have been to the springfield location and I stop going due to the disrespectful employee they have working there. Thank you River for a job well done an being so caring.
