Cancro Special
Provolone, roast beef and pepperoni. In the summer of ’74, the Pepsi delivery man requested a curious combination of provolone, roast beef, and pepperoni. Peter Cancro’s brother, John, liked the sandwich so much, he gave it the family name and a menu spot of its own.

Good, but inconsistent. Always order to-go, but stale bread during the lunch rush is pretty unacceptable. I’ll update this review once consistency is back. By the time I find out something is wrong with the order, I’ve already returned to work with my lunch. I would appreciate the soft bread we all love from here.

The food is absolutely horrible. I ordered a Steak Sub the one girl made sure she made it where I couldn’t see while the other girl came up and talked to me. I didn’t think anything of it until I got my sub to the house and tasted it. It was literally horrible I had never gotten a sub anywhere that was that tasted that bad.

I’ve been eating Mike’s sandwiches for almost twenty years, even when I lived in Cali and New York, but my Aloma avenue Winter Park Mike’s is my number one go to. Okay, the food here is great, and I would have given it 5 stars, however after the first visit where I was completely impressed, I was less then impressed the second time. I would have given it 3 stars but the first time I came in they were so amazing they made up for the experience. The store is clean and all and the food was good too. The service is either “meh okay!” or “Amazing!” If you are okay with that range this is your place.

I’ve always loved Jersey Mike’s until today. I went to pick up a sandwich on my way home from the gym. I did NOT ask for mayo and yet when I got home, much to my dismay, the sandwich was slathered with mayo which I didn’t realize until after I began eating. I am allergic to mayo. When I called to express my concern to the store manager the response I got was “oh well, it was a mistake. It happens.” I’m sorry but that “mistake” caused me a very uncomfortable afternoon because of my allergic reaction to their “mistake”.
