Cancro Special
Provolone, roast beef and pepperoni. In the summer of ’74, the Pepsi delivery man requested a curious combination of provolone, roast beef, and pepperoni. Peter Cancro’s brother, John, liked the sandwich so much, he gave it the family name and a menu spot of its own.

I love this location, and they always do great. The issue is that why can’t there be a standard of how much oil and vinegar are used. As even for getting a giant sandwich you don’t need more than a swipe of the oil and vinegar, not 3-4 swipes. As by the time I get home to eat it…the sandwich has soaked in Oil and Vinegar, so the bread, tomato, meat and cheese are all soggy. Then if you’re not stuffing your face to eat the thing in 2 mins, the taste or everything else is gone and all you get is oil and vinegar taste. I only have to drive 7 mins home too. Please make it a swipe per sandwich size and if the customer wants more, let them ask for more. This is why the overall is a 4 star, and the 3 star for food.

I was recently there when they did the DoorDash promotion and they deserve a big round of applause for handing that disaster with relative calm and expediency. Most people got their orders and they were very accomadating if people wanted refunds or come in the future. The food itself is way better than subway but you are paying 50% more too. You can taste the difference between JM slicing their meat as needed and cooking it fresh on the grill rather than precut and microwaved at Subway. Three meat ratio is also much higher. I ate two full length sandwiches and was stuffed. Most people will only need one to be satisfied.

A newcomer to JMS. This visit presented me an opportunity to try the classic Turkey and Cheese. Ordered a regular sized on wheat, which seemed smaller than what I expected. Let it be known, I ordered my sub to go and brought it to my home (5 mins drive away). Opening the parchment, the sub was messy and it just felt like it was missing both sufficient toppings and assembly to warrant the price paid. Still it was very tasty and I enjoyed it, but just hoped it was a higher quality product.

Went in Thursday night and saw around 5 teenagers behind the register goofing around without acknoledging costumers. Finally received my order and when I got home to eat it, realized the giant sub had very little meat, very thin slices of cheese and a sprinkle of lettuce. The prices are already high and we expected a good quality generous sandwich like always. Not today. Love Jersey Mikes but this location needs to improve their management.
