Cancro Special
Provolone, roast beef and pepperoni. In the summer of ’74, the Pepsi delivery man requested a curious combination of provolone, roast beef, and pepperoni. Peter Cancro’s brother, John, liked the sandwich so much, he gave it the family name and a menu spot of its own.

Food is great but its prep and service are variable. I’ve been going to JMS for a few years now and generally order the same items, so I can give an order very quickly. But when the server interrupts me to ask what kind of bread, that’s just rude. Lately, I’ve responded by giving $0 tip. I’ll still eat at JMS, but the tip is $0 when service is rude. My OP seems fair, so rating is 4.0.

A very good sandwich shop with a very clean store and very friendly employees. I moved back to Arizona from the northeast and love a good sub sandwich. I find these to be among the best. I’ve only ever had one sandwich from here that I didn’t like, while all the rest have been spectacular.

Been going here since it opened and a big fan of Jersey Mikes.Use my “points” regularly for free subs but no longer. Try the. River Road location! Last week I called repeatedly until a woman answered and asked me to hold? Certainly! I was on hold for the 12 minute drive and walked in, phone in hand, only to have her hang up not knowing I was standing in front of her? Tonight called in at 5:00 from River & Oracle,2 steaks. Got there at 5:17, 2 people only in the store already eating,asked for my order and was told they were just starting it. It’s hard to lie when the grill is in plain sight and nothing is on it. Only attitude from the woman who hung up on me the week before. Great franchise.. terrible staff at this location.
