This is your fair warning, come on an empty stomach because holy moly do they give you so much food. Started off with the bao bun appetizer and the pork belly was so tender and melt in your mouth, the flavors just came together in absolute perfection. For entrees we moved onto the Texas tacos, the corn tortillas were house made and I appreciated that because they didn’t crumble like the ones you at the store. The burnt ends combined with the cheesy potatoes was mouthwatering. Refried beans were a melody of spices. The BBQ combo plate is enormous, the chicken thigh is literally about the size of a human face. The brisket is very tender and just pulls apart, you don’t even need a knife to cut it. The service was wonderful and enjoyed chatting with the server, made great recommendations on what to eat. They had an entire window of fresh baked desserts. Unfortunately was way too full to make room for that, so got a slice of carrot cake to go. Do not know how it tastes yet, but I am sure it will be absolutely delightful if it is anything as good as the meal. It is an eclectic menu that you are sure to find something that will you will love. Come hungry and leave so full you want to just roll out the door.

BBQ food , some of the best here in White Sulphur. Large portions for what you pay! Cornbread wasn’t that good, according to my husband, and the Mac and cheese wasn’t cheesy like I was expecting. Great pulled pork and awesome ribs ! Cinnamon dinner rolls were perfect and nice, warm, and freshly baked taste.

What a pleasant surprise to find a gourmet smoke shack restaurant in this small town. I only have good things to say about it. They have a very interesting menu with special touches. I had the brisket sandwich with a fresh salad (Get the house dressing. It’s amazing!) Hubby had the soup of the day which was carrot-ginger. Both dishes were perfection. This southern gal was surprised to find sweet tea and buckeyes(dessert) here. The restaurant is only 2 yrs old and runs like a fine oiled machine. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We were driving aimlessly and came to White Sulphur Spring by accident. I am just glad I checked Google Map and found this restaurant and insisted to eat there (driver tried to stop at the first restaurant he saw and I replied with a big NO!!). My foodie radar was up as soon as I saw the pictures from review!!! We had enchiladas and BBQ combo with brisket and sausage (going to order beer battered fried chicken next time because the table behind us ordered it and instantly made me jealous). Everything was soooooo delicious, even the salad with homemade sage and vinaigrette was sooo good. Didn’t have time to eat desserts so we got them to go. Coconut cake is moist with lots of coconut flavor. The one that aww me is the raspberry tart. The tart has almond flavor in it and just matches with raspberry perfectly.

This is the best BBQ restaurant that we have ever had the pleasure of dining at this Labor Day weekend! I would give this food a 10+ rating compared to Famous Dave’s BBQ in Billings, MT, which I would rate a 2. The service is SUPERIOR and the food is so EXCEPTIONAL! We had BBQ combo platter with 3 meats to share; we chose 6 oz. Turkey, 6 oz. Brisket & 2 rib bones with 2 sides (House fries and coleslaw) and a cinnamon-buttered dinner roll. We were stuffed and so satisfied, but we couldn’t resist ordering 2 of their homemade cakes to go (Peanut Butter Chocolate & Coconut). The cake portions were GENEROUS and so rich & DELICIOUS! We haven’t finished them yet and this is the third day since we first ate them.

What an amazing place to have lunch or dinner in the middle of nowhere Montana. Their menu is what I would have expected to find around Austin or read about in Texas Monthly. If you ever find yourself in White Sulphur Springs, MT do yourself a favor and stop in at Jessie Peppers. Their Bao Buns were perfect and their shrimp and grits special divine. I can’t wait to have the carrot cake we brought home but I’m too stuffed.…
