Super cute rustic atmosphere! The food was super flavorful and came out hot. I got the hot mess which is a loaded fry with your choice of either buffalo or a sweet heat. I got the buffalo and it was amazing! You can tell the chicken was fresh, it was perfectly moist, and the fry’s crispy and hot. Not gonna lie I was a bit nervous to try a chicken place because most of the ones I’ve been to the chicken is dry and freezer burned. That was NOT the case here!

The chicken is absolutely fantastic very moist and delicious and full of flavor. We also had the white chocolate cranberry bars and we ate it so fast I didn’t even get a picture of it. I highly recommend a spice and will be coming back on a regular basis, it does take a little bit of time to get your food because they make it fresh when you order it not like the other fast food places.

Where else can you find 50 cent cones anymore? My kids ride their bikes here to get them and I love that they get to have that “old school” experience. We like the maverick and hot mess but I personally love her sweet stuff (cinnamon rolls, scones, and amazing deserts.) Her desserts maintain that homemade taste and I’ve never had one I didn’t like. It’s the only restaurant in Iona and luckily it’s a great one.

Great family run little restaurant for some very yummy chicken. The Hot Mess with the home made sweet heat sauce was very delicious. I only wish there was more chicken that came with the large. The sweet pepper slaw was very good. The bone-in chicken was very juicy and delicious. Can’t wait to try more things on their menu! Thank you Jill and family!

Do you want chicken like your Grandma used to make? Well then this is your place, awesome fried chicken nice and juicy with nice sized pieces. Gotta try the sweet pepper slaw and the NOT YOUR GRANDMA’S POTATO SALAD. The hot mess didn’t disappoint either. Great food nice people.

I took the long drive to this place because I heard so many people raving about the chicken. However, my experience was not as good as others. Ours was overcooked and definitely over priced. Staff was very friendly. I was surprised at the prices as there was no table service. Flavor of chicken was good. I will have to try the ace another time to see if my overcooked chicken was just a one off. The coleslaw is not a traditional coleslaw and has peppers and cilantro. The fries were incredible.

I went to lunch there on pie day and was treated to a yummy chicken pot pie and a couple dessert pie. Lunch was delicious. I have stopped in a few times for chicken and it has always been good. If you want some great tasting home made food from a restaurant, I highly recommend Jill’s Chicken Shack.

Tried for the first time today and wow! Everything was amazing 10/10. She hit every category on the head. It was sparkling clean inside, Jill was extremely friendly and informative about the menu, the pricing was very good and the quality and taste was amazing! The legs we got we super big and juicy. The fries were seasoned perfectly! This place is a gem you definitely need to try!

Ordered take-out with some co-workers around lunchtime. We had the 1-piece breast chicken, chicken strips, and Maverick sandwich. All the chicken and the sides were satisfactory. I really enjoy their homemade fry sauce. The portion sizes are big considering the price. The venue has lots of seating and bathrooms available. I would recommend this place to friends and will return in the future.
