We come here regularly but today were disappointed with the spare ribs as they were VERY tough to eat —had trouble even cutting them with our knife. When we told our server, he said “that is bc they are spare ribs.” (Photo of uneaten portions are attached.)

Wow! Great place to go for families! Food is amazing-they are always busy but still you don’t feel rushed! Mary was our server and was so sweet to my son(the pickiest) she really made his night and made it easy for me to enjoy my dinner! We will definitely be back!

It was 12:30 on a Saturday. We had the worst service at Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q that we’ve ever gotten in our city. The hostess informed us that there was a shift change and asked for our drinks. We asked for ice because there was no ice in our iced teas. We had ordered an appetizer, and then the food arrived with the appetizer without any mention of is there anything else we can get for you etc. We finally had to flag down someone else in the restaurant and asked again for ice. Yet no ice arrived again. They finally brought a refill when were about to leave, but no ice in the iced tea again. We were basically without a waiter because the hostess never came back. I’ve never been treated like this at any restaurant before. Fast food restaurants treat me better than this… The manager did not even care when we told us our story. He only told us that there was a shift change. We were under the impression that it was our fault for the bad service. We asked the manager for a box, and he didn’t even give us one. We had to ask another server for a box. Lousy Service!!!!!

Smoked chicken has always been great here. My go to order here. I meet a colleague here about monthly. I’ve sampled the ribs, not my favorite but not bad. Pulled pork has been hit or miss. But is decent even on a miss. Mac and cheese is wonderful . Always phenomenal service.

Mr. Jim’s Combo Plate, comes with 3 choice of meat and two sides and cheese biscuits for $24.98 before tax. The meats are in small portions and the taste is good. Expensive for sure for the portion.
