Even though they were busy, we received friendly service. The meals we ordered were delivered quickly. Portions were bigger than we expected. Our server and at least 3 other employees asked us if everything was okay and if we needed anything. Absolutely enjoyable experience!

I’m not going to bore anyone with a 500 word essay or try to play food critic. We eat BBQ all over the country and outside of Texas, which we’re partial to, this was as good as anywhere. Pulled pork, brisket, smoked chicken and smoked turkey were all great. Thought the mac n cheese was awesome, white sauce was the best we’ve had anywhere. No problem with parking or seating. Best overall experience of any BBQ place we’ve been to in the area. Glad we tried it and sure we’ll be back for more.

Holy Cow, Chicken & Pig! It’s not often you find a BBQ restaurant that has great meats with tasty sides, but Jim ‘N Nick’s have managed to do just that. Our $60 order (3 people) included brisket, turkey & chicken with mac-n-cheese, cole slaw, fries, onion rings & potato salad with drinks. The meats were moist & tender & the sides were spot on with no seasoning needed. Customer service was great & the restrooms were very clean. If you’re debating where to eat good BBQ, look no further. You really won’t regret it. I’ll be back for that slaw!

We have been here now 3 times and the service and food has been outstanding. Very consistent. The bar inside and out has great ambiance and some amazing mixologist. They reinvented a better Long Island Ice Tea!

I want to like this place, but I’m beginning to question why I eat here in the first place. Our family has been coming since they opened. We started eating here weekly to try out different dishes and things were excellent. There are not a lot of great options when it come to brisket in this area so this place was welcomed.

Service was really fast. I had the half chicken and it was amazing. Normally the skin is so leathery on smoked chicken that it’s inedible; not the case here. The breast was very moist and the smoke ring evident on all of the pieces. The chicken seemed to just melt in my mouth. The sides were really good and was served with cheddar biscuits. Also, they have two drive thru entrances if they look too busy to get a seat.

Having grown up around Birmingham, I was excited when I learned Foley was getting a Jim n’ Nick’s; they’re all over Birmingham and my memories of those locations were all very positive. But, I’d also heard that they sold out to some investment firm, and that usually spells trouble for restaurants because they always wind up ruining good restaurants in the name of unending profits.

The picture speaks for itself. Burnt ribs was the main issue. Macaroni was bland & the greens just need a whole revision. Sadly only thing was decent was the bread. I really expected so much more from this place.
