Always love Jimmy Jack’s. The corn bread is great. If I am going for a quick bite I really like the skinny beef sandwich. If I want more of a full meal they have fantastic ribs. They have lots of different sauces, something for everyone. This is also a great place to eat with kids. They have nice big booths for dining in or they offer take-out! I also like their ice-cream sandwiches made with two giant cookies! No one ever leaves Jimmy Jack’s hungry with their large portions. If you visit their downtown Iowa City location it is located inside Old Capitol Town Center which has has lots of fun independently owned shops you could visit. Plus the parking ramp attached to Old Capitol Town Center offers the first hour of parking for free.

Absolutely terrible service. I ordered a smoked chicken sandwich only. After 25 minutes of waiting, I asked if they forgot about me. They scrambled around to fill my single sandwich order, throwing in a cookie & cornbread that I can not eat. I asked if I could have the phone number of the Manager and was told that was him in the Kitchen. I asked, if could speak to him, since my lunch time was now over. I was told he can’t until he completes the other orders. I asked for a phone number to call back and they wouldn’t give it to me. Beyond bad customer service. I should of asked for my money back, because the “rushed 1/2 hour sandwich” was not even hot. I will keep my loyalty to the Eastside Jimmy Jack’s only. This location is purely disapointing and does not care about their customers!

Excellent service from the worker Logan, he deserves a raise! He was super nice getting my order and helped me pick out what to order because it was my first time. Food was good and beer was great.
