Talked to a manager about my order coming an hour and a half after the scheduled time. The manager blamed the customers for ordering too much during lunchtime and said he only had two drivers on staff. He offered to cancel my order when I told him I’ve nearly missed my entire lunch break at work waiting. Received my order within the last five minutes of my lunch break. The manager also told me that the bike delivery driver had been out with my food for a full 45 minutes. My workplace is 2 minutes away.

Ordered 7 sandwiches. When I crossed through campus traffic, paid to park in a parking structure 2 blocks away, walked to the store to get the order —there were 2 guys working and a line in the store. It was already 30 minutes past the order time. The employee was very nice- rushed putting the order together. I did a cursory check of the order, drove back through nightmare traffic, and found I was missing two sandwiches.

Over the past several months I’ve ordered sandwiches from this store several times. It used to be that we’d order quite often. When I lived in Minneapolis, Jimmy John’s was THE go-to place for awesome sandwiches. The fact that they delivered was almost too good to be true. The food was prepared quickly, but always with attention to quality and detail. I have a sinking feeling that the 1207 store is phoning it in. Last night my sandwiches came out of the wrappers a complete mess, with avocado all over the outside of the bread, like they forgot to put it in and decided to smear it on at the last minute, after making the rest of the sandwich. Last week, I ordered two identical sandwiches and one weighed about 30% less than the other. Worse, neither of them was made to order. There’s just so little consistency and apparent attention to detail that I can’t justify ordering from this store anymore. And it saddens me, because ordering Jimmy John’s used to be a real treat in our household, a special occasion that we could look forward to.
