Food is always good. Not necessarily the fastest Jimmy John’s around, but the folks there do try their best (and if you’re gonna complain about waiting at Jimmy John’s, try sitting in the Duff ave McDonald’s at rush hour. You’ll stop complaining real fast). Ordering ahead on the app usually means it’s almost always ready when you get there, unlike a lot of restaurants in the area that wait for you to get there before they’ll start (looking at you, pancheros).

Lobby closed and door locked because of staff shortage. Guy taking orders sounded like he wanted the kill himself. Asked for mayo packets and napkins 3 different times and weren’t given any even though it was also noted on receipt. Super slow service too. I would avoid!

Best Jimmy John’s in Ames. Have been going here for a year and a half and have never had any issues. The employees are always extremely kind and helpful.

The tuna sandwiches are great. Delivery has been a little delayed recently but I’m assuming that’s from worker shortages. I recommend using the app when you order so that you can get a free sandwich.

I’m extremely disappointed with this jimmy johns. They always for get something or they don’t make the sandwich right but this time around it literally felt like they did this to be jerks. So I ordered from jimmy johns because I worked late and didn’t feel up to cooking or doing dishes. Lately which has been like the last 4 times from this jimmy johns they have not included straws which isn’t a huge deal but I personally don’t enjoy dirting dishes if I don’t have too. So I asked for them to put straws in the bag. Again not a big deal they did put some in so that nice however my biggest issue was the fact that not only did they not knock to let us know our order was here but when I went out our order was in a box one of the pops had been spilt and our stuff what just sitting in it soaking it all up for who knows how long. I went to go check because it had been a while since I got the out for delivery notice. The next thing was I specifically asked for no Lettuce I do not like Lettuce and there was more Lettuce on my sandwich than my husband’s who added lettuce to his sandwich. I’m not generally the type to write reviews but this time was the last time I think I’m going to order from this specific store.

My loyalty is long gone. I know that covid has impacted staffing but this location fails to train their employees. Long wait times to get food is not an issue. I don’t mind waiting. But my order is always wrong. I ask for mustard onion and jimmy peppers on my sandwich and not one thing was on it. Not one. I’ve ordered mustard and mayo packets when I get delivery, never in the bag. You don’t even TRY to read the tickets! You just make whatever you want and toss it in a bag. Today while waiting for my order, I watched a guy stand at the make table and screw around dancing and messing with his pants. I called and let them know my entire sandwich is wrong and the guy who answered didn’t even know how to handle a conversation. Went and got a manager, who apologized but I am done with the apology. In order to manage you have to leave your office and supervise your team. If you don’t care anymore, find something else to do for work. Your lack of pride in your career/job is contagious. I’m a great tipper and loyal customer but I am finished with Jimmy Johns. What a mess.

Food tastes good but service is extremely slow. I’ve never been to a jimmy johns location as slow as this one. When I order it for delivery this location usually takes a solid half hour (minimum) from the time they received my order to the time it gets here (I live right across the street). It was slow going in person as well, we probably waited 10-15 minutes for 2 sandwiches to be made although to be fair the drive through was super busy. The employees are always nice and the food tastes good but it’s not at all faster than if I were to just order from somewhere else and the speed is why I like jimmy johns so I’m pretty disappointed that I literally live across the street from a jimmy johns location and it still takes a long time to get here.

Pretty much a regular and normally decent experiences. Went today (01/09) @6:30pm and the window person acted like it was such a hassle and pain to do their job. I hate my job too but I at least try to be charismatic at work and not make the customer feel uncomfortable for ordering

If you are looking for fast service (what they are known for) avoid this jimmy johns. Super slow service. The staff stand around and chit chat. The girl making my sub took almost 10 minutes to make my subs and told her co-worker her entire weekend plans while she s-l-o-w-l-y made the two sandwiches. Subs tasted fine.
