Ordered online during the lunch period and it was done in record time. Pickup was easy too, didn’t even have to pretend to socialize.

I’m so sorry but Google was wrong. I didn’t go here. I went about 17 months ago and it was great.

Can’t describe how much joy I get when my teeth sink in to a crispy bread, juicy tomato, fresh lettuce, assortment of delectable meat, immediately put together jimmy John’s sandwich, And that’s not even the best part of this business, the best thing about there business is the signs free available for reading when you go into one of they’re establishments, they are so quirky and goofy, the second best thing about J and J is their speedy fast delivery, one time I ordered the classic Sammy and it got to me in like 16 minutes, that’s very impressive, thanks for everything you do jimmy, and I’ll keep dropping by lol

I love Jimmy Johns and the food is always great, but the reason why I am giving it 3 stars is because the delivery times have been taking over for me. I understand that lunch hour is a busy time, but it takes them anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to have my food delivered… it is never freaky fast for me. Like ever. I will continue to support this location, but you guys need to be quicker about your delivery. I don’t want to be difficult.

This review is from a long time ago and although I still occasionally frequent this restaurant in general and this location specifically it feels important to leave a review about my experience a few years ago. My brother introduced me to the place by telling me about all kinds of baseball style lingo that was actually kind of entertaining. As an example, the employee behind the counter will take the bread out of the sandwich and leave a hollow shell with the food in it, but, if you say, leave the dough, that means don’t hollow out the sandwich bread. If you say, all the freebies, that means you got a range of sauces and vegetables that aren’t normally added. Well, in any case, back then I was getting a number 7, leave the dough, all the freebies. It seems like every time they would miss something or add an extra ingredient. This happened five or six times until one day I came in with my dad. I ordered the same sandwich I always order, and my dad asked for the same thing. As in, I would like the same thing. They wound up making me the wrong sandwich, and then they made my dad a different wrong sandwich. I wanted to talk this out with them, but a Bus full of soccer or football players got off and it was impossible to get to the counter. My dad with the most upbeat attitude ate it anyway saying that even though it was wrong it still tastes nice. So, after about six or seven mistakes I tried calling to make a complaint. Someone returned my call but I missed it by only a second. I called back a few minutes later. I didn’t know who it was initially and asked, and in response I was told if I check my answering machine messages I would know already. So I want to let you know it was off to a bad start right from there. Turns out it was the owner. She wanted to know what kind of sandwich I was ordering, and when I used their own lingo oh, she told me in a laughable tone that she knows exactly they keep making mistakes, obviously my order is too complicated! She then offered to write my name down on a little card and write my order on that card, to put it in the cash register so they can pull it out each time I come so there won’t be a mistake. I suppose in hindsight that seems like a kind gesture but at the time I took it as an extremely condescending and insulting offer. I do not have a lisp an accent, any kind of disability which makes it hard to understand me, nor am I speaking differently than what would be expected in the store. I didn’t go back for a long time. Admittedly I’ve gone back since and they’ve made less mistakes but this really hasn’t ever left my mind.

I didn’t know cutting a pickle would take 10 mins to do! At least some prep! And they didn’t seam that friendly, or eager to get your food to you. They will also let other people take other people’s good so make sure you have your own before leaving the building! I’ll try the other one in town if not it will be a long time before I’m back. Also i know how it is I been on the other side of the counter!

Dubuque locations are so friendly. They smile, they interact with you, they are genuinely happy to serve you and live up to their slogan of “Freaky Fast” subs. No joke, most times by the time you finish paying and grab your drink and chips, they are handing your sub to you. Love it!! Totally recommend the #9 with jalapeno chips! JFK location.
