Ordered two sandwiches online, one caprese salami pesto and one gargantuan. Brought sandwiches back home. I took a bite out of the caprese and noticed gray salami hanging out the side of the sandwich. Look inside and saw more gray salami. I returned the sandwich to the store and had the manager look at it. He stated it was the balsamic vinegar and asked if I wanted a new sandwich. I declined and asked for a refund, which they gave me. What should have happened was an apology, pulling the salami from the prep area, and at least inspect it. Also, inform me that they would also look at the prep area and cooler temp. This did not happen; they just returned to making more sandwiches. Please note that the vinegarette is not touching the gray areas but is in the pink area, and the color of the meat did not change (nor would I expect it to for the short period it was in contact with the salami)

Sandwiches aren’t bad. The downside is the atmosphere and tip request. I’m glad I did not tip as I had to bag my own sandwiches and napkins. Also, all the employees seem really angry, the look of disgust I was given when I was bagging my sandwiches was frightening. Things are expensive nowadays, $19 for just two regular sandwiches. It makes me think they’re doing bad things to my food. I’ll go elsewhere next time where they seem to appreciate my money.

Paid ten dollars for some bread with two sad slices of cheese, almost no meat and embarrassingly lame service. was warmly welcomed into the establishment by being ignored for several minutes. Once someone decided to help me I was greeted with “if you’re here to pick up it’s over there.” Not sure what “over there” is….I then asked if I could just order some food. After I placed my order I waited and waited and waited. Finally I decided to ask if one of the multiple sandwiches sitting out on the counter with no temperature control was mine. Not sure why they leave people’s food out like that without announcing it’s ready… So many red flags. It’s lunch meat, this should be temperature controlled at all times especially if it’s a pick up order to be received later….. Also anyone could just walk in and take food claiming it’s theirs. I had a feeling it was a dice roll when I saw guys with shoulder length hair / beards with no hair net or beard net wrapping sandwiches with bare hands.

I came in today and I asked for one their new wraps and one of the lazy teens that worked there said they weren’t making it and told me to kill myself. I was very scared about what he would do to me so I instead ordered a number 9.I am appalled at the behavior of these workers. The food was pretty good but their service was atrocious. These lazy teens need to be better trained.

Ordered JJ’s at 10:39 a.m. last week, came at 12:14 p.m. Manager gave us a free order the next time. So I ordered it again today at 10:55 a.m. , because it’s free why not, and the food is not here yet >> currently 12:08 p.m. The delivery is what sets this company apart from other sub shops, not its food.

This saddens me to write. I am a Jimmy Johns super fan and I used to work at the apple valley store and loved it! I have lived in Savage now for 9 years and this store was great……until the pandemic happened. At first it was understandable, every business was struggling. Then 2022 arrived and I went in to the store multiple times to order, pick up orders, etc… and they had plenty of employees, but none of them moving faster than a snail and half of them just standing there doing nothing. This is what I see every single time I am there. I have had my sandwiches delivered to my house with wrong and/or missing ingredients, and showing up an hour after ordering. I went in to just get bread one day (something I have done a million times) and the manager got huge attitude and said he could sell me one this time! I rarely write reviews, but today was my breaking point. I ordered online delivery at 11:30am knowing it would take at least 45 minutes to get my food. At 12:40pm I finally called to ask what was going on and was told there was a power outage early in the morning and it set them back (totally understandable and clearly out of their control). The guy said he would be hanging up the phone and bringing my food immediately. I live only a few blocks from the store. 25 minutes later (1:05pm) I call again to just get my money back since I am already feeding my son something else. They said the driver is almost here, so I say ok. 10 minutes later (1:15pm) the guy shows up with our super soggy sandwiches. Now, I know the power outage sucks and causes problems, but had I known that it would take almost 2 hours to get my food, I would have just found something else to make for lunch. No communication about it, wrong information given when called and I am done. Had it been only this one time and this one thing, I wouldn’t be writing this. This place needs an overhaul and I am so sad that I won’t be eating here anymore.
