Food is above average and service was also exceptional. Place is small with limited seating but the atmosphere is very nice and cozy. Prices are higher than average with the dinners around $22 each and the portions are just right. Don’t expect to be taking home any leftovers. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there and will be going back.

Always great food and service. You can tell Bob is very proud of his restaurant. My steak was cooked perfectly. The live music was good. The only thing I would recommend is that the young lady who was our server, while doing an excellent job in her duties,wear a more appropriate uniform while representing for such a nice place. She was wearing, from what I could tell leggings while Bob was dressed up more and it just seemed out of place.

My husband and I have been there several times and loved it, so we thought we would celebrate my birthday there on Friday. It took a very long time to get food, our plates were not being cleared, we were given steak knives to eat our meal once it was received. Come to find out the assistant chief walked out and the wait staff were not only taking care of waiting but they were also cleaning dishes and preparing meals.

I recently had a private party here for my friend who is getting married. The owner went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect! He even put put fresh flowers on the table for us. The food was AMAZING and the service was phenomenal. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for private events or just a good dinner!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and their menu had a decent selection. I was disappointed in the portions and overall taste. I ordered the crab/seafood sandwich with truffle fries and there were literally 10 fries on the plate. The crab/seafood patty was very bland and there was little to no sauce on the sandwich. I just didn’t feel any soul in the food, it just seemed slapped together. I will give them another try, maybe it was just an off day.

Our family just returned from an excellent evening at Jimmy’s on the James. We celebrated my mother-in-laws birthday and were treated to such great customer service. Hannah, our server, was friendly, personable, and quick. The owner was equally nice. And the food was delicious. I’m a stickler for good customer service but to be treated so warmly and with great service was just an absolute treat! The private room was also full of great ambiance. Definitely returning again!

First time I’ve ever been, we were supposed to have live entertainment which was the main reason we wanted to go, but the artist was sick that day. Totally ok, the staff was nice and the food was delicious. Bought a delicious bottle of wine for a steal… the lack of entertainment on a Saturday night and the fact that there weren’t that many items to choose from on the menu list is the only reason I’m giving 4 stars.
