I am in town for the week and thought I’d try the new sushi place in town. I ordered the godzilla roll. This was mouth wateringly delicious and it had a beautiful presentation, even for takeout. I’ve ordered this type of roll before at other places, but never have I ever tasted such a beautiful balance of flavors!

Nice place overall but dessert needs more work. The restaurant interior is well thought out and lay out is comfortable. Hamachi carpaccio was good. We ordered sealed albacore, Salmon, Sea bass and unagi nigiris. Salmon was really good, nice flavor and texture. Albacore and unagi were seasoned a little too overwhelmingly. Spicy tuna temaki was good. Lastly, we ordered red velvet cake which had strawberry and strawberry purée. I thought the idea was nice, combining the slight acidity of strawberry with chocolate to reconstruct the red velvet cake. However, the cake layers were so dense, the bottom layer was like a flat dough. The cream cheese buttercream had no flavor. Overall, the dessert idea was good, but execution is lacking. Price point is very reasonable considering today’s inflation. We may comeback for sushi.

My first experience was “pick up”. We kept our order simple and really enjoyed the sushi. However, when we decided to eat at the Sushi bar we found: service is glacially slow, the food sat out waiting to be served. It sat, warmed up, and attracted flies. A lot of flies present. The Nigiri was good but the rolls lacked flavor and the fish were…well too fishy. The restaurant did comp 2 of our dishes. Not going back any time soon.
