Wow the food is so great! Atmosphere could use some updating, but I had great company so it didn’t matter. Our waitress was prompt and considerate, she explained the differences in ribs to us very well. When we got our food she even brought out the hot sauce without us requesting so that we could try it. I got the ribs- phenomenal- And the potato salad was perfect!

Husband loved every bite of his ribs, and is going to finish off my beef later, too. Our waiter was great, even brought us out hot cloths for our hands!

Always the best eat in or take out. One thing is remember the cash not for the menus but for the treats. You must have cash for a treat

When I moved to the QC, I almost gave up on good Barbecue. No recommendation from our new friends here seemed to understand what real BBQ was. Of course, they were from the Midwest and I had just arrived from Texas. So, I had taken BBQ for granted.

We were in the Quad Cities on vacation and wanted BBQ. My husband read that Jim’s is one of the best places to get BBQ in the area. I got spare ribs, potato salad, and baked beans. The baked beans were the best I’ve ever eaten. The potato salad wasn’t great. It was quite sweet and mustardy. It also seemed runny. It was edible but not great. Some of the ribs were a little tough. They were also incredibly salty. I had a difficult time eating as much as I wanted because the saltiness was overwhelming. The sauce was a little runny and vinegary for my liking. The portions were HUGE. The amount of meat was more than enough for 2 people to eat.

When you walk into Jim’s Rib Haven you know it’s gonna be one hell of a ride. The menu displayed right above the counter has a variety of smoked meats for sale. The smell of smoked ribs smacks you right in the face. As my group and I were seated and we gazed our eyes upon the beautiful treats that Jim had to offer, I ordered the half rack of baby back ribs with home made Mac n Cheese and fries and I forgot to mention the ribs were smothered in spicy barbecue sauce.

Had to try Jim’s was told they had the best ribs. They were right, my waitress April was friendly and guided me what to order. Tried Back Ribs with hot sauce which she told me wasn’t real hot, it had great flavor. Baked beans had some of there BBQ sauce in them and were great. Also had home cut fries very good too. If you are in the Quad cities you have to stop here. April was a sweetheart from start to finish.

Walking into Jim’s is like walking into a place lost to time. You instantly feel like you’ve gone back to at least the 1970s, but in a good way! I get the feeling that many of the people that come to Jim’s are regulars, as there was never less than three people in line for carryout at a given moment.

Spent 24$ for a dinner with pork with the bread all soaked in sauce very soggy no flavor whatsoever. Especially the Mac n Cheese and Potato Salad didn’t taste fresh really disappointing for my first time coming here and I left a tip. Will not be coming back here again or recommending to anyone else!!!
