Food was not worth the money. Steaks are not great at all. Cooked well but not good flavor. Burnt ends were dry. They don’t explain their dishes very well on the menu so you will get things you are not expecting.

Steak, service, and music was decent… everything else was lacking any flavor. Cost was unreasonably high for what we got. Even the chicken fried steak was lacking flavor. The small bit of gravy wouldn’t even cover the steak, much less have any extra for the flavorless twice baked potato. The fried mushrooms were barely edible…thank goodness for ranch dressing. The decor hasn’t been updated since the 70s. Nothing here I haven’t done better at home.

I would normally give Jim’s a 5 star rating, but not after tonight. There were only 5 tables of customers when we were there. We waited over an hour and a half for our food. Our waitress never once checked on us, or let us know what the hold-up was. We finally got the attention of the manager, and she apologized for the delay, stating that they got some type of new software and the printer wasn’t working. The only way that we could connect a non-working printer to the slow service was that the cook must have gone somewhere to buy a new printer. She did offer to take some charges off of our ticket, which helped, but that doesn’t make up for the lack of communication during our wait.

The food was not very good for what they charge. It has been several years since I ate here last and my fiance had never eaten there and she said she would never go back. My fries were overcooked and tasted like the grease had not been changed in a while and my finances baked potato had nothing on it. The salad was basically just lettuce with a beet slice. I expected much more.

Everything was an up charge. Dressing for your salad was extra. There wasn’t enough gravy to cover the steak and when we asked for more it was a 2.50 up charge. Waitress was horrible. Steak was good but all other food was terrible.

Ordered food with our family. An hour and a half later we had to ask for our food to go due to time having passed and having other plans following dinner. Owner and chef, Frank Caputo, then came into the dining room and yelled at our table, causing a scene. We left money on the table for the drinks we had received, then left the restaurant due to the unnecessary hostility. As we walked to our car, Frank followed us out then threatened to call the cops for dining and dashing when we never received any food to begin with. Terrible service, and terrible display of how to treat other human beings. I would not typically go out of my way to leave a review, but the horrible and unnecessary way the owner spoke to my mother and other family members was incredibly unwarranted. Don’t waste your time going to Jim’s.

as soon as you walk into the store, you can smell mildew / mold. i guess it could have been some of the older customers but im confident it was the building. it has a very old and dated interior and its very dark inside partly due to the interior. the service was exceptional and the food was great. overall it was a good experience. i would go back and hope they have the smell under control in the entrance, that kinda puts a damper on you appetite.

This place used to be a really good steak house. Now it is mediocre at best. Our waitress was not attentive and the place is super dated. Bulbs in the chandelier needed replaced, seats need repaired, carpet is dingy… Also, for a “sit down” steak house, if you order a loaded baked potato, it should be loaded. They brought all the toppings out in “to-go” condiment containers?!?!? Like really? Not impressed. There were barely any customers for a Saturday night. Seriously bad sign. Freddy’s has more customers!

This was a place for RESTAURANT IMPOSSIBLE!!! This was the absolute worse acclaimed steakhouse I’ve EVER been to. The decor was depressing, the food was terrible basic and lacked seasoning. The have the Audacity to charge $8 for a basic side salad with the WORSE Ceaser dressing known to man. My fiancée ordered $32 dollar steak for it come to the table literally swimming in its juices. No sear on the steak it was like she was eating a baked steak! We ordered drinks and requested a specific alcohol and the bar tried to pass off Tito’s as kettle one. Our service was Great she was amazing!! Funny, cheerful and very attentive. That was the only take away from our visit other than the certainty we would never return or suggest Jim’s Steakhouse to ANYONE.

Wildly unimpressive. Hostess sat us in a section that apparently displeased what became our server, so she moved us, saying there was a “reservation” for that seat. We knew that wasn’t true because we heard her chewing the hostess out, but also that seat remained empty during our very long stay. Server wasn’t rude, but completely unfriendly. Took nearly an hour to get our food, which was all correct and cooked properly, but nowhere near good enough to justify the cost. Texas Roadhouse is far better, and for the cost, I’d rather grill a steak at home than eat one fried at Jim’s.
