I had quite a mixed experience at JJ Coopers. First off, the ambiance is top-notch, and the bar area is particularly inviting – a great spot to wind down. Service was satisfactory, but there’s room for improvement. My main concern was with the food. While the presentation was impressive, the actual taste and quality were underwhelming. My fries and burger arrived cold, and the pizza seemed reminiscent of a basic frozen variety you might find at a supermarket. I’m hoping it was just an off day for the kitchen because the atmosphere suggests a lot more potential. Would consider giving it another shot in hopes of a better culinary experience.

Very lively place, fun atmosphere. There was a party going on in their party room, standing room only at the bar, a Saturday night and I’m sure very busy the weekend before Valentine’s Day. Service was good, the waiter was personable and friendly. the food was excellent. Started off with the French onion soup and calamari they offered several different varieties (Buffalo spicy, Asian style and traditional) . I had the special, angel hair pasta with jumbo shrimp and leeks, very different it was very fresh and tasty. Also had the steak tips with mozzarella and sweet potato fries. Drinks were excellent too, I had a gin and tonic which was perfect.

It’s always a great experience at this restaurant. Tonight we had the Kung Pao Calamari with the peanuts on the side and their LB Chop Salad along with the Penne & Crumbled Sauasage. Their food always delivers. The live music and ambiance are added bonuses

Loved our maiden visit – first time in this area as well as in this restaurant. Live music was extremely loud and very out of tune – but that opened it up for loud family conversations without worrying about others.

JJ Cooper’s is a restaurant/ bar in Long Beach. It’s within walking distance of the Long Island railroad station as well as walking distance of the ocean. Daytrippers as we were can get off and have a nice lunch. The menu is limited but has some good stuff on it. I had a burger and I also had clam chowder. Both were great. Services. Wonderful. There’s a huge bar that you can sit on all sides of it. Probably seats about 40 or 50 people. And you can be served at the bar. We just had regular tables as you walk in to the right of the bar. All the way back is where they have music and when they say they have music they had a musician in who’s playing and saying some songs. We were close to him and we’re not deafened by the volume. They’ve got the sound very much under control. So it was very much a lot of fun.

OMG we loved this place!!!! Love the lively vibe!!!!! It is immaculate., wait staff was amazing (ask for Brona -she’s the best! She’s been there 18 years so you know they are doing something right!) and best of all the food was delicious!!!!! We will go back for sure!
