Best Soul food Ever Pull Up. The staff is very professional in courteous. They have a lounge that is super cozy. I highly recommend this place for date night ,family time ,and gatherings. They not only have soul food but a fully stocked bar.

When I say this food is completely homemade, cooked to order, and beyond amazing! This has to be the Best Soulfood I’ve ever had and can’t wait to come back! On top of that…prices are incredible, especially with this economy. And the service was phenomenal! The best fried chicken I have ever eaten. Definitely worth the wait since everything is cooked fresh to order. I wish I had taken a picture of the food but I was too excited! Fried chicken with homemade mac n cheese, mama’s green beans, and cole slaw complete with cornbread and sweet tea. You really can’t go wrong. Very friendly staff. Feels like eating back at grandma’s house on Sunday when I was growing up. We will definitely be regulars when we make it up to Lexington.

I stopped in here because my son was hungry after getting off from work. It was around 3:30 pm and it wasn’t busy. Waitress Jamey greeted us and told us to sit anywhere. She was attentive and very pleasant. The restaurant appeared clean. We ordered fried chicken and waffle, fried chicken entree with 2 sides and Buffalo flavored wingettes. My son devoured is chicken and waffle and added an order of hush puppies. I had a glass of wine with my meal. We both enjoyed our meals. The wings were big, crunchy, and flavorful. The hush puppies was also tasty. I like it better than some other establishment. My son was like this is way better than Cracker Barrel. We will definitely be back!!!

Visited JJ’s Mama Soulfood today for the first time whilst in town and was blown away. The food was fantastic. Though I don’t eat meat and only fish, the catfish was phenomenal and FRESH which is very hard to find nowadays. The collards were out of this world and the yams, I left nothing in the bowl. My relatives also enjoyed their dishes (Neckbones, baked Mac and cheese, fried chicken, butterfly shrimp, etc).. not to mention the pricing was just as good and our waitress was amazing and very attentive, couldn’t have asked for better service. I cannot wait to go back.

Phenomenal experience. Top notch food and a great family atmosphere. I have been here multiple times, and every time is an amazing experience all around. My favorite meals are the Baked Spaghetti, Fried Chicken and Baked Pork Chops. The vegetables are always superb, balanced with seasoning and texture. I love the service at this restaurant and the chef/owner and staff is so friendly with the guests and always takes care to offer the best quality! I highly recommend this place. I am Definitely a lifetime customer!
