Great hidden spot in sleepy Elgin, MN. Wonderful set up for Vikings games, and free beer when the Vikings score a touchdown! Get the cheese curds.

The food is flavorful and the portions are large! Our waitress was very nice. JJ’S is a great place to eat, kick back and enjoy a nice meal with the family. Very family friendly. Not a “bar” feel – more of a neighborhood get together!

Although the drinks were well poured. The cheese curds were all batter and absolutely no cheese.

What a great place in a small town! We recently had our class reunion here so we could keep things local. They were very accommodating. Communication was great leading up to the event, every time I called I talked to a polite and well trained individual. An added plus, when on the phone, the music wasnt so loud I could actually hear what they were saying! Very friendly and helpful staff. Lastly, the food was delicious! Next time I swing home, I’m definitely stopping in! Thanks so much Jennifer and the staff of JJ’s….Thanks for being part of our reunion!

Horrible service – not friendly, didn’t greet us, seemed like she didn’t want to be there at all. Very slow, we were there for an hour and 45 minutes and sat with empty drinks the majority of the time. There was one waitress behind the bar and two cooks. One of our orders were wrong with the side (when said that we ordered something else the response was delayed then she asked if I wanted her to go make fries instead) and was still up charged. Cheese curds were under cooked and all batter. We had to go ask for the tab at the end (two tables worth of people maybe 10 people in the bar). The quality of this place has plummeted. And the menu has changed recently.

We went to get a bite to eat at JJ’s like we do a lot of weekends. Now that COVID has let up a bit we always eat in the bar because the bartender company is great. When we got there this weekend there was a different bartender. Thinking the regular bartender just took the day off we asked about him and found that he no longer works there. This is really to bad because he was a great guy and was good to all of his customers. We probably won’t stay to eat anymore since the new bartender didn’t do much for us.

I like to drop in on small town eateries, and this one was great. The afternoon hours saw a family friendly establishment that was clean. The food was excellent. Not sure if it continues to be that way at night or on weekends, but my experience was awesome!

I highly recommend JJ’s Tailgators Bar & Grill. It’s a friendly clean place with simple, yet superbly prepared food. The prices are very reasonable. Plus, they have a “banquet room” for large parties and events–a great place for end-of-year or end-of-season team events. (Wish this place was closer to where I live now!) Kudos to Jennifer and her top-notch team! I’ll be back whenever I’m in town!

Food was pretty good size for the money. Everything we had was really good will go there again soon. Waitress was really nice, checked to make sure food was up to par as she walked by and asked if we needed anything A++

Really wouldn’t look at this place and think you were going to get great food, but in three visits I have always been impressed at how good the food is. They were understaffed on the Saturday night we went and the service was quite slow, but other than that we really like this place.
