We found it by searching restaurants on our route. So glad we did. We both agreed it was excellent pulled pork. We both liked the white slaw. Mild but a good complement to the BBQ I had the Brunswick Stew and liked it as well. Only about 30 minutes from home so we will definitely be back!

What a gem! It isn’t a fancy place but so comfortable. Prices are good and the food is delicious. I love the potato salad and the white coleslaw. (They also had a red coleslaw.) I also had a BBQ sandwich that was piled high with meat. I couldn’t finish it all but it was excellent. I will definitely go back when we are nearby.

What a great little place! We got there for an early supper and were concerned when there were only 2 vehicles on the place… probably the workers’, we thought. Compared to the cafe we passed on the way there, which was jam-packed, we felt a little hesitant. Does anyone else do that? Unfair at the least. Imma try to stop doing that. We walked in and were greeted warmly and given direction about how to place our order. A little dark to me on the inside but a cute log cabin-y feel. Clean and comfortable. Only Pepsi products. A boo for me but I had just been grocery shopping and had a Coke in the car. We both got pulled pork sandwiches. One with a side of baked beans and one with a side of chips. I went in with a craving and an expectation of French fries but they weren’t on the menu. I got over my disappointment when I tasted the beans! Yum!! The pulled pork was OUTSTANDING!!! They had sauce on the table. I used the sweet mustard. Double yum!! The other was a vinegar-based sauce. Not my jam but was told it was good. Very affordable. Highly recommend!

Buford is my hometown but I moved to Charlotte. I’ve tried a couple bbq places in the city but they don’t seem to hit the same. So I always make sure to visit Jo Jo’s when I’m back home because it’s truly so delicious! I usually get the bbq plate with beans and white slaw. Whenever they make the pineapple cherry dessert, I make sure to get that too, amazing! The service is always fast and the staff are all very friendly! I feel the portions are generous and the prices are fair because the quality is always high. They always get my order right 100% of the time, never leaving a sauce or side item out of my bag, that goes a long way! I tell everyone I know about this place because it’s top notch, thanks for being you, Jo Jo’s ❤️
