I hate changing reviews I really do but this place has gone down. When I first had them when I ordered a chicken sandwich it was a whole chicken thigh, well seasoned and breaded. The service was great, loved the blond lady in the front and they were always open. Now it’s literally two very tiny tenders in a dry bun with no seasoning, they always are out of sides, and it’s hard to catch them when they are open. I had to spruce up my own sandwich at home. Seriously, what happened? Why is the sign always saying short staffed? This time the tenders weren’t even cooked all the way through, picture posted. Disappointed.

I really like the tenders here. I always get the 2 tenders (hot), a side, and a drink deal and it’s always fresh and good. Tried the banana pudding on my most recent visit and enjoyed that as well. Whenever we are craving hot chicken we come here. Employees are nice and friendly, restaurant is clean.

I went to Joellas today and had a great experience. I ordered the lunch special and asked for one chicken tender to be grilled and the other to be fried with parmesan garlic fries. The parmesan garlic fries are super yummy! My food came out hot and fresh but instead of my chicken being one fried and one grilled, they both were grilled. The new GM came over and introduced himself and asked if everything was to my satisfaction. I told him that they messed up my chicken order. He immediately apologized and went to the kitchen and came back with a big, hot, fresh, juicy, fried chicken tender. It was delicious!! The batter on that chicken tender is better than all the competitors. To really taste the batter ask for the chicken dry. They use an infused oil like Nashville hot chicken and you can’t taste that delicious batter with it. Their chicken is also bigger and juicier. I don’t understand why this place isn’t packed. The atmosphere is very hip and upbeat with a variety of music playing. It was refreshing to see the GM checking each guest to make sure they were happy. All in all I was very impressed. I will be back!

My Tweener fried tenders and Mac n cheese were awesome. Good enough heat for me! The Mac n cheese is thick and creamy—super delicious! I would go back and order the same thing again. We had great service as well—he checked on us twice during our meal to make sure we were good! (Not normal at a “fast food” place!)

GROSS. We went around lunchtime and the lobby was closed “due to short staff” the food we received looked nothing like the pictures online. Chicken was way to salty and they didn’t give us any sauces (which we were charged extra for.) Fries are so greasy they stained the bag. We got a blue Powerade and it tasted like chemicals. I ended up not giving it to my toddler because it tasted contaminated.

Tremendous bun and very little chicken. I was asked if I wanted hot chicken and I emphasized very hot please. My sandwich was not only mildly warm in temperature, but there was no spice to it either. They forgot my sauces I paid extra for and gave me no napkins for a messy sandwich. I won’t be back!

I had the chicken wings and the chicken tenders combo with waffles and they were delicious the hot chicken tenders were not spicy so I asked for their hottest sauce but I feel like it needs more flavor. The sauce was very spicy but it had only kicked no real seasoning. I love the customer service they were amazing. I want to come back and try more your stuff. The mac and cheese was super creamy and delicious.

First time trying Joella’s. I ordered the classic sandwich “hot” with crispy thin fries. The drive through experience was good. The line moved pretty quick. Staff was friendly. The sandwich was delicious. Two chicken tenders and a pickle. The “hot” heat level isn’t as hot as I thought it would be considering it was the second hottest level. I felt like the fries were a bit oily and kind of tempura-like, which I didn’t particularly like. But everything was hot and fresh. Next time I’ll get the “Fire-in-da-hole” heat level but skip the fries. This sandwich definitely competes with Hattie B’s and Scoville Hot Chicken.

The souther spiced chicken is very tasty. It’s like having Publix chicken without having to get out of your car, except I did have to exit my car because their drive through was down. There were 2 other diners but no staff on sight. After 10 minutes they finally arrived from the back. It took 5 minutes for my order to be ready. The chicken was not that fresh, but it was still pretty good. The collard greens were made with cider vinegar but for a fast food restaurant, I was impressed. If the employees were more attentive this place would be good.

Sign said drive through only due to short staff. Then after 5 min no greeting at the order sign. Drove around to the window to order. Staff was friendly but after all that and paying 16 dollars for a chicken sand and fries (no drink) the chicken was undercooked and the fries were cold. Wont be going back…
