This is located at one of the food truck circles along the Road to Hana. Make note that most places along this way are more expensive. It was the only one at this place open at 5pm on my way back. I got the Teriyaki beef and garlic shrimp combo. The shrimp and beef were very good, but I was a little disappointed in the corn and mac salad sides. Overall though, the food was solid and had a good portion size. It was nothing to write home about, but I enjoyed the food.

We had the Loco Moco for lunch. First time we had one was in Hilo on the Big Island several years ago. It was decent. I’ve made the “classic” Loco Moco at home. As was the Hilo one…. Decent. Joel’s Loco Moco knocked it out of the park. Great flavor. Beef was a perfect medium rare. Portion was perfect…. As in. We didn’t need dinner. Also. Very nice guy. Definitely recommend his Food Truck.

This place is in a ring of food trucks. None of them really stood out as restaurant quality food, but I felt this place gave a bit more food for the price. Expect a homemade style taste.

Didn’t feel like having fish at Da Fish Shack next door so I opted for Joel’s Loco Moco burger which was great. Great fries too. Next time I’ll ask for more gravy!
