Joe’s Crab Shack offers a variety of favorites from all parts of the sea and shore. From its extensive menu, guests can choose from buckets of seasonal seafood, fried shrimp platters and fish dishes, as well as options from the “mainland” that include steak, sandwiches, and chicken. Guests can indulge in over-sized and creative cocktails, such as the Shark Bite which is playfully garnished with a shark toy.

Food was fantastic. The staff was great Our waitress disappeared so I had to ask another person for a refill. We were celebrating my grandaughter’s birthday and the waitress told me they would sing to her. She seemed to forget at the end. I asked if she got a free dessert and she told me no. She double charge for 1 beverage and corrected it when I bought it to her attention. She was very nice.

The attraction is definitely the view. Usually I would have wonderful praise for the food served. However, today that has changed. My stuffed flounder was ok. Usually the fish is melt in your mouth tender and the sauce excites with a rich flavor. Sadly, not this visit. In addition the floor under most tables have bits of dropped food and trash. I assume it is part of the “Shack” ambience. Not their best.

I recently dined at an expensive seafood restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. While the food was decent overall, the service was slow, and it took an hour and a half for our food to arrive.

We ate calamari, a crab bucket and an American burger. They were all good. The crab bucket was alright. Just hard eating it and takes a little more time. The burger was nice but I asked if they wanted to add some cheddar and Mayo which they forgot. The margarita cocktail was decent, a little stronger than supposed to. The employees were nice.

The food was completely overcooked. The steam shrimp was so small I could barely even see them hard to even peel them. The crabs were like rubber. I would highly recommend going to the seafood and oyster bar. Their seafood was way better. Don’t leave out that it costs 286 for four people. Forgot to mention that the butter. I’m not sure if it was better or a cup of oil. Horrible. But I will say the server was very nice. He got a good tip anyway. It wasn’t his fault.

Friends don’t let friends eat frozen seafood (especially on the coast). It’s popular with the college crowd because of the atmosphere. I live at the marina, so I like to watch the people.

The food was great, but the service was somewhat lackluster. Took the family to dinner during our visit to Corpus Christi, and the service made us feel like we were just another check. My wife had the lobster, and I had the Shrimp and Fish Ensemble, which was phenomenal.

This was my first time at Joes Crab Shack and the food was bland and cold. We ordered an appetizer that came out Luke warm and bland. I also ordered the steak and shrimp meal and they put a cold block of garlic butter on top that did not fully melt so it made the steak cold and I had to scrape it off and my shrimp was also cold. This meal was extremely over priced for the taste. The server was nice but had too many tables and took a long time to service us throughout our stay. The manager was also very nice but I still couldn’t rate the food any higher than I have. The best part of this experience was the ambiance, sitting outside on the pier and getting fresh air. Other than that, I will not be going to this establishment again.
