Randomly walked into this restaurant on a Friday night around 8:30pm and we were able to get seated right away. The vibe was casual and the prices are reasonable. My favorite dish were the pork soup dumplings. I highly recommend getting them. We also got the scallion pancakes and fried rice with shrimp and they were good, but I wouldn’t call them exceptional.

This place has good tasty food and it’s very quiet when there are not a lot of people inside. The restaurant eating are is clean and it smells like tasty food (I say this because other restaurants smell bad). I was satisfied with the food overall but the service was lacking.

The dumpling wrapping is a little thicker than average. The fried radish taste bland I would not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for tasty Shanghainese food. Service isn’t that great. They do not provide drinking water

Got this recommendation from friends who raved about the food. I can’t say the food was bad, it was really tasty. The problem is the people who work there. One employee was sleeping next to the table we were sitting at, the other was dumping at the next table without gloves. The lady who served us was so rude that I haven’t experienced such bad service in a long time – she took our order as if she was doing us a great favor that she would bring us something at all. I read people’s opinions after this incident and I see that this problem is common and nobody is doing anything about it to improve the bad impression of employees. Too bad, I won’t be going there again.

Service was straight to the point, clear, efficient, and fast. If you can’t deal with non-stereotypical American style service don’t go to Chinatown. Food was phenomenal, the most potent pork-crab dumplings we had in the area. Cold beer, reasonable prices, and comfy interior.

Worst shao long bao. It came all busted with pinkisk meat juice(looking slimy) outside the dumplings. They laid some cabbage below to prevent the dumpling skin breaking, but in our case, every one of them was busted. Also, beef in the beef tendon noodles was very tough. It should’ve been boiled longer, until tender. Also, noticed the proprietor getting ready to prepare food from frozen block of diced pork, which made me wonder if the shao long bao meat had also been frozen. Trusted the Zagat sign outside. What a mistake.

We come here every time we come to New York. Their soup Dumplings are great. Prices are very reasonable. We opted to take out instead of eating in this time

A tourist trap…. there were quite some people sitting outside so we thought why not. Ordered some dumplings as they seem to be known for that, a mixed fried rice and fried crunchy seafood noodles.

Wish I could rate it 0 stars. Awful, rude, and violent service. The waitress should be fired. The worst service I’ve had in a long time and maybe ever. The food wasn’t better than the service.
