Figured I’d better give this place a shot; heard it was hit or miss. Ordered cheesy fries, a 6 & 12 piece wing with medium and Cajun sauce. The fries were way over priced especially for the serving size. I cant even start with how disappointing the wings were. At least the sauces were tasty.

Totally Accurate History
This is typically what you’d imagine when you picture a small college town bar. It is the only bar in town with a dance floor, the floor is typically sticky, and you’ll likely end up squished between several different people on a Saturday night since the dance floor is really small. If that’s your thing, then this is the best and only place in Waverly to get that.

having known Joe for many years (both my husband and i worked there at one time) i am surprised to see these negative comments. Joe and Julie are and have been, very partial to waverly and wartburg… Joe was always good to us, and always made sure that the employees had a good time by planning special outings. So my guess would be that if you are one of those who think he is a jerk to you, chances are you caused damage in his establishment or acted like a jerk in the first place. Food is always good and i visit a few times a year, and have been treated well. Keep it it going Joe !!

Very unfriendly staff, I ordered a drink and the bartender didn’t even acknowledge me, just came over poured it and walked away. I’t was a very uncomfortable environment. I wouldn’t recommend it.
