Might be pricey but it’s WORTH it! Soup is very large, and the sandwich bread was warm and fresh. Delicious food great service, the smoothies were a little small but they used fresh fruit. Quality of the food here is excellent, give them a try! There’s so many seats too.

Edit: Be careful with takeout, once got disgusting meat balls and raw beef. And the spicy selection is EXTREMELY oily. The drinks are great but the food is VERY hit or miss. The dine in experience was good but take out is iffy. Review changed from 5 to 3 stars. Pho An Hoa is another San Leandro pho restaurant and they’re extremely consistent and have very good food.

I have eaten at or ordered take out at Joe’s Pho on Washington Ave. a half dozen times or more. The food and portion size is excellent. That’s why I’m so sad that I won’t be returning. I ordered my food for the first time on their website. I don’t really like using uber/doordash, so I went with the owner preference. I ordered a bit over $90, with tax and tip, it was about $120. When I got to the restaurant, the hostess told me I could pick up at the register. As I approached the register, the older woman began screaming that she won’t take my online order “because you no pay.” I closed the distance between us and said, “What are you talking about? I paid through your website.” The woman said, “No! We not take online!” I showed her my phone with the order. Showed her the address on the website and the map. As she insisted I had not ordered from the restaurant, or not that location. When I finally figured out how to show her my receipt, she called her manager. I guess the manager told her that my order was legit and how to pull it up. Not only did my receipt pop out, but so did another customer’s. I ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes for my food. I never got an apology. She did not even offer me water while I waited. To be fair, she did give me 2 sodas and some shrimp chips with my food. But the price of being yelled at when I did nothing wrong, is never going back, telling my friends and family not to go, and this review. I sure will miss all the tasty food.

Nice new spot had the Vietname se Chicken Sandwich, generous serving with Shrimp chips on the side & was served with a broth soup no noodles. The broth was a little salty not sure what flavor it was.

Really bad experience tonight. Ordered the filet mignon pho that I’ve had before and liked. Tonight the broth had ZERO flavor (no salt / spice) so I sent it back. They started pulling all of the pho orders from other tables when they realized the mistake. Remade my order, which took almost 30 minutes. By then the person I was with had long since finished eating. The replacement came out and it was the beef tendon pho, which isn’t what I ordered and I won’t eat. Ended up cancelling my order, asking for the check, and eating elsewhere. The server was apologetic.

Do not eat at this place! They abuse their employees and refuse to pay them fairly. They also overcharge for their pho. All you’re doing is paying for the owner’s $400k McLaren 720s car payment.
