We decided to dine in at Joe’s Place on Friday night based on a recommendation of a coworker. And I read the reviews, the bad ones and the good ones, before we drove here. It took us almost an hour to get here from our home, but the long drive was worth it . Joe’s Place is a small town restaurant located in Saranac, MI. And it is true when we opened the door and walked inside, all eyes (diners and servers) were on us , just for a moment. It felt like we were in the old country restaurant setting with country songs played.

Nice staff, old bar but cool place. Tried chicken gizzards for the first time here and they were good, acquired taste but not many places serve them. I wouldn’t get the nachos again but would go back to try other menu items. Drinks were a little weak.

Great food and service. Had all you can eat fish and a Big Duke burger. So much fish and fries on the plate no need to order more. Burger was excellent. Service fast and friendly. Awesome place!

Very nice place in a small town to have a beer and a lunch. Had their pizza and it was delicious. Fair prices as well. I’m moving to that town so I’m assuming I’ll be there a few more times in the future.
