Pizza with some soup tends to be my go to meal when I’m feeling under the weather… it’s my comfort food. I ordered a pizza, garlic rolls and a minestrone soup via door dash everything arrived in good condition as the package was good and secure. The pizza’s flavor was good but slightly cold, the garlic bread was yummy and the soup was a little bland and the beans and pasta was a little firm… maybe it wasn’t quite ready, I decided to wait and eat the soup the next day and added a little salt and it was better. For an easy lunch for dinner I may order from them again but the location on Flamingo is definitely better.

Food isn’t the best, really basic. Free parking in the front. I placed my order for take out but the gentleman in the front was super nice and friendly smiles even though he was still busy making dough. Pricing isn’t the best. $43 for a small pizza, rolls and a pasta entree. Rolls are really big! I’ll give you that much. I believe they charge you a little extra if you pay with card instead of cash. Other than that. Don’t really recommend it here.

This was my first time dining at this place of course I looked at the reviews so I decided to try it out. I paid $25 for the baked ziti with broccoli and 1/2 dz of garlic rolls. The ziti was nasty and dry it had garlic slices in it and they just threw broccoli on top and baked cheese over it. The garlic rolls tasted like they baked it then put garlic powder on top then they dunked it in a bucket of oil and threw it in a bag. I was so hopeful that this place was it but it’s not. Save your money because I wasted mine.

Definitely was a hit. Picked johns favorite pizza- which is basically like a margarita pizza.. got the famous garlic rolls. It was all delicious, the garlic rolls were a bit too oily. But when you have that crave for something savory and that guilty pleasure… this is it. Definitely recommend!

Went last night with my family and made a huge mistake. Bland food. My 80 year old mother complained about no salt, like c’mon. Really? Rude employees. Absolutely terrible manager of whatever she was. Too busy on the phone with what sounds like another job while you’re talking to her. Took on the name “John the baker” but far from real Italian cuisine. Someone needs to shut down this culture vulture of a “restaurant”. Absolutely no Italians cooking, not a single Italian in sight, so why advertise as so? It’s like a white person cooking soul food. Its insulting. -5 stars if it were possible. Never again and Italian is my favorite. I grew up on John the baker restaurants and this reminds me of why I stopped. So sad to see what people have done to the name. Oh and this location is in the middle of the ghetto also known as alpine. Lock your doors and hold your purses tight. It’s not a good place to be.
