Ribs so tender and juicy that the meat slid off the bone! The smoked turkey was incredible as well. I like their unique flavored house barbecue sauce. Definitely has to be on your midland list to try.

Great staff, great food, great prices! Glad we stopped in. The southwest corn is so yummy, and you gotta try the jalapeno sausage. Even the runt plate is enough food to fill up most folks! 1/4 lb of meat (you get to pick as many as you’d like) 2 sides and some tasty texas toast! The peach tea is great, I like to mix mine with regular sweet! Quick service, and great prices, convenient location too!

I was hoping to try some Texas bbq and happened to stop by this restaurant. The meat is pretty good and no need to wait in the line. I ordered the brisket plus 2 ribs which is a good combination. However the food didn’t impress me too much and maybe it’s because I am from St. Louis. 🙂

I have driven by this restaurant since the 80s. And have never stopped. I asked my son where he wanted to eat for his bday. Johnny’s bbq he says. So we went. We were immediately greeted by a very nice young man who aided us in our decision making. We had a great dinner and experience. Will return soon.

I was very impressed with Johnny’s. Not often I find a barbecue place where I don’t need sauce for the brisket or ribs, both were very soft and the ribs were very easy to pull off the bone.

My wife spotted this place as we were driving through downtown Midland and we decided to stop in for lunch. Best food decision ever! The instant you walk in the door you get the aroma of great BBQ. When you walk up to the counter you can see that the owners take great pride in their product. The staff is very friendly, and the place is spotless. The food is the best BBQ in the Permian Basin. Make sure to try the jalapeno sausage and the turkey. The peach cobbler is amazing as well. I’ll definitely be coming here anytime I’m in Midland. I was going to provide a picture with actual food in it, but it was just too good not to eat right away.

Not from West Texas and wanting to try great BBQ? This is it! Friendly, warm service and mouth watering smoked meats! The Turkey falls apart and the rib meat slides cleanly gettin the bone. Must try the Texas corn.. you will not be disappointed!

Excellent food! I had the brisket poutine. Run, don’t walk there! People need to give them a break. They’re a new brick and mortar restaurant that transitioned from a food truck. People are too quick to judge. From what I have read from other reviews, they had issues during the lunch rush. Give them a break, there is a HUGE learning curve for them. And if you’re gonna gripe about your order taking too long, bring a sack lunch and eat in your office!
