I ate here today for the 1st time. Both my customer and I had a fried shrimp plate. The service and food was very good. Shrimp tasted fresh. But for a small town with a giant construction project 10 minutes down the road, I was shocked that the place was not packed. After paying the bill I think I understand why. Lunch for 2 with 2 teas and tip was $46. Even my expense acct can’t handle that price per person!

If you don’t mind a menu heavy with fried food, bland flavors, and some things that taste like they came out of a can or a frozen food bag, then this is your spot. Unfortunately, not many other choices in the area. On the plus side, the service fast and very friendly.

I went into the lobby to checkout the spot. The place looked clean, the waitress was writing the menu on the dry erase board. It took her at least 10 mins to finish the board, then she came over to serve me. I think there customer service could be better. As for the food… the burger was made fresh to order so that took about 15-20 mins (I’ll wait for a good burger) but the fries where cold and over cooked. I ordered a 32oz Sprite, but got mostly ice . Then there was the lemon cake. It looked good, but there a few mushy spots in the cake that made me not eat it. Also, my ticket was around $17-$20. Although, the burger was good, I feel like I spent too much money to receive poor customer service and not eat most of my food. Hopefully, they’ll fix these issues before I go back.

My husband and I walked in around 1 in the afternoon. Immediately it seemed as there was tension in the atmosphere. The waitress said sit any where. We ordered hamburger steak w/gravy and onions, mash potatoes and field peas. While waiting for our food the waitress brought our check before our food. (I’m glad we didnt want more or even desert)

My chicken fingers were cold. When I told the wait staff, they just said sorry. Did nothing to correct it or ask if I would like fresh ones. At least the fries were hot.

Johnnys has moved to the east part of town. Just pass pharmacy when heading toward Savannah on US 280. I ordered fish with French fries and tea. I also ordered jalapeno poppers. They offered sauce for fish and gave ranch dressing for poppers. The tables were covered with what looked like butcher paper which was changed after every customer left. It was clean and staff very helpful. I definitely liked the interior of the facility. They have limited hours on Sunday.
