Great food, hot off the grill! I got the western burger, and I’d recommend it if you’re hungry because it’s pretty big and meaty. There’s seating indoors and outdoor seating as well with plenty of parking spaces

Amazing food! We got the Atlantic Cod, Cheese Burger, seasoned fries and the hotdog special ( 1 hotdog with fries for $3.48). It is a small place but it was nice and warm.

This little fast food place is a hidden gem! The cook is phenomenal. The food is all fresh made, tastes delish and it doesn’t cost much. I moved out of the immediate area but come I. Once a week at least, just for Johnny’s. If you do during lunch rush, you are going to have to wait a bit but it’s worth it!

This place used to be great! I was even a customer at their downtown Chicago location before they moved to Skokie. It appears that the original owner(s) has retired and a younger family member has taken over. The friendly service has suffered significantly. I always order hot dogs and expect either Vienna Beef or Chicago Red Hots. I’m not sure what they are serving, but it’s now a much cheaper product. I wish the best for all small businesses, but I likely won’t be back.

The best-tasting and best-priced place for a quick bite in Skokie! I’ve been going there for years and the quality of the food keeps improving each time I visit! I’ve gone with my friends multiple times, and they love the place as well. I honestly haven’t had a bad meal and I feel like I’ve tried everything on the menu by now. My all-time favorite has to be the gyro-bacon cheeseburger though. It’s not meant for those that are not hungry!!!

I’ve been going to Johnny’s Grill for years. They have the best food in Chicago. Always great food and service. Pete and the staff are always friendly and treat the customers well. Everything on the menu is the best from there cheese fries,polishes,burgers,hotdogs, to there gyros. The best restaurant in the NorthShore!!!

Been here several times while visiting my parents in Skokie. Staff very personable helpful and works with you and your meal. Precautions are taken. We enjoyed eating outside when the weather was nice. Good value 2 hotdog meal.

DELICIOUS!! We always order gyro bacon cheeseburgers. It’s greasy, a zillion calories, and I LOVE it. Fries are good, mozz sticks are good. Their service during the Covid-19 pandemic was actually the safest I’ve felt getting take-out. Overall one of my favorite small businesses.

This place was fantastic! I ordered the 1/3 lb cheeseburger w/ fries and a drink. It costs six dollars and change. Although it’s not as cheap as Burger King or McDonalds, it was 100% worth the extra bucks! My burger was HUGE i could barely fit it in my mouth! It tasted terrific and it had a big tasty tomato on the bottom with perfectly melted cheddar cheese on top with lettuce too. The fries were so delicious! They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with some skin on them so you can tell they’re fresh! I got a can of Sunkist as my drink but there’s others to choose from. Overall, the food was fantastic and I will definitely be coming back soon on a nice day to sit outdoors since they have a lot of outdoor seating.
