We were greeted by two waitresses as we walked in- very nice ladies- and were pleasantly surprised by our combo plates! Hubby got the beef taco and enchilada, and I got the chili relent and pork tamale! All of which were great! The rice was flavorful as was the beans, the chips and salsa were also good and I got a side of guacamole that was yum! We’ve been to several places for Mexican food in this town- most I won’t return to! This small unassuming place was by far the best! I highly recommend!

Johnny’s Taco shop on 160 is one of the better Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. The food was excellent. My friend ordered menudo and had a huge bowl of it. I ordered just a taco salad and took half of that home and my other friend had tacos. This place has a at home family atmosphere restaurant. It’s one of my new favorite places!

Liked the salsa. Just the right amount of heat. Combo plate #5 was very good. Especially the chili relleno. Hubby’s chicken burrito was disappointing. We asked for red sauce to add and that helped. My Margarita was good. A busy place which is a good sign. Had the fried ice cream. It’s not fried, just rolled in crushed cereal. But it had ice cream so was good. Not a bad place for a quick meal but not great. Clean, good service. Liked the picture of Frieda so gave the place a 4th star!

Good selection of dishes. Went for the mariscos. Reminiscent of So Cal dishes. Very busy on Sunday pm. Four of us had guacamole, carnitas chimichanga, garlic shrimp, whole fried fish and chile verde. All were a 5-8 on a 1-10 scale, 10 being best. Chips not notable although red salsa was hot and flavorful and green salsa mild and tasty. Wanted to try the fried ice cream but needed to get going so maybe next time.

We stopped in Pahrump Nevada overnight and went here for dinner. We had taco salad, chicken quesadillas and tacos.. EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD!! I highly recommend this place!!! The staff were so very pleasant too. You MUST go here!
