My family and I have been dining in as well as ordering here for decades but lately noticed a decline in the accuracy and quality of our orders. I’ve ordered hashbrowns well done with my omelets everytime but the hashbrowns are never well done. Just came in recently for to-go for a half order of onion rings and a reuben with extra sauerkraut, but received a full order, after double checking in-person if it was half- and received a minimal amount of sauerkraut for $15. Sad to see what was once a welcoming establishment become careless cooks and waitresses who look at people like they just kicked their dog.

Our party had mostly burgers. The hamburger patties were some well and had a good flavor. However, the mushroom swiss burger had canned mushrooms instead of fresh. The waitress was very friendly.

The waitress was so awesome. The decor was nice. The food was freaking horrible. Canned sausage gravy, tasted like cream of mushroom soup. The hash brown are sliced not shredded which is personal preference true but when they are ordered well done and come out light brown and mushy then you’re just lazy and suck. The biscuits are premade as in just frozen then defrosted. Perhaps they warm them up but I doubt it judging from the texture and flavor. Tasted like straight oil. Wanted so much to love this place. Definitely will not be back!

The John’s burger is what you want when you are craving an old school burger. Good coneys. Big breakfast was a hit with my partner in crime. Everything is good. Super great service!

I just want to say, wow. Just wow. My mom introduced this place to my wife and I and we have become weekend regulars. The food? Bomb. Breakfast is perfection, really flavorful and prepared with care. I tried lunch this visit, the Philly cheesesteak was a homerun. It should be renamed, “The REAL Big John’s” steak and cheese. My son didn’t finish his grilled cheese. So I tried a bite. The AUDACITY of you people. You have no business making a grilled cheese that delicious!! 10 out of a 10. Got milkshakes for dessert, also absolute fire Shout out to the kitchen, food is amazing. Waitstaff, also on top of everything and very nice.

I love going here for a nice easy dinner after work. It is a friendly, family owned restaurant. I am gluten free, so I know I can always get a simple side salad and chicken breast. I personally would like to see the booth seats recovered, UT that doesn’t stop me from going there.

You definitely want to eat here! Excellent! Delicious homemade food, not a bunch of packaged/instant junk. We LOVE the Hot Turkey Sandwiches, but really, everything my family and I have ordered has exceeded our expectations. The Fish and Chips are very good, as are their Burgers, Coney Dogs, Clams, Club Sandwiches, Onion Rings, and Fries. Their Breakfast Meals are so good sometimes we order Breakfast for Dinner! Large, fluffy Pancakes, Eggs prepared correctly, Biscuits and Gravy…oh my! Go see for yourself, you won’t be sorry!
