My family of four dined in earlier today. My wife ordered the oxtails with sweet potato and cabbage as the sides. I had chicken with fritters and plantains as my sides. Also, this was our first time trying “black/mushroom” rice, which was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and so did our kids. Met some other customers who happened to be regulars, and they gave us must try suggestions for our next visit, because we’ll definitely be back. It was a great experience all around.

This was my second time at this establishment. I specifically told the man at the register that last time my fried pork was dry. I order fried pork and fried plantains. The bunun was soft, thick and full of grease. There was no crunch to it at all. They didn’t fry it long enough. The pork was tasteless, dry and hard. So, I have to finish frying my food to try to feel better about my 15.00 dollars. It’s the closest Haitian place to me but moving forward, I prefer to travel further for a better experience.

I moved to GA a couple years ago and this was my go-to spot while staying in Kennesaw. I now live further out, but what a treat it was to be able to stop by this nostalgic space for me. The prices have increased a smidgen, but that’s expected with costs everywhere since 2-3 years ago. It’s still reasonable given the portions. They are always so welcoming and greet you with a smile. I’ve tried other places for Haitian dishes, but they pale in comparison. I absolutely love the ginger juice! Give Jojo Fritay a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Extremely clean, and friendly. It was clean but still smelled like good food. My first time trying Haitian food so I had a lot of questions and samples and they were patient with me. I got a lime juice (fresh squeezed!) And a herring pate kòde. With a few sides from the hot bar. And Amazing music I believe it was carribean but didn’t ask the specific origin.

Very unprofessional was asked to pay full price up front for catering services where I have always paid half before pick up and paid the rest when going to pick up food. Customer service was very poor. Will definitely let all my customers know to never order from here.

The service in this restaurant is terrible and the food isn’t good at all. First off the fried plantain is too thick and the akra had a sour taste, the pate kode believe me is not authentic at ALL; the dough was so thick that it wasn’t fully cooked and they put just a small amount of either chicken or herring.

The food was decent but 80% of my goat meat was all fat (see pics). What little bit that wasn’t fat, was cut too thick so the seasoning didn’t get into the meat. Our Lalo had Ginger in it.. how?! Why?! The plantain was decent. The akra was weird and the marinad and patat were way too greasy to fully enjoy and the edges we’re had as if they’d sat out for some time before being served. I ended up throwing the rest away.

Extremely pricey….in addition portion is less than other competitors. I purchase their “Lalo”. Beware buyers: they are actually serving spinach and other green leaves….taste nothing like LALO.

I recently visited JoJO Fritay and was disappointed with my experience. The food was quite expensive, and to my disappointment, the portion sizes were small. As someone who enjoys Haitian cuisine, I was especially disappointed. Unfortunately, I do not believe that the food matched the price I paid. I will be looking for other Haitian restaurants in the area that can offer better value for my money.” To answer you directly no one is asking for anything free! Your prices are ridiculous and I have every right express my disappointment. I also can choose how I spend my money, I choose not to spend my money at your restaurant thank you and have a great day.
