We were visiting Dayton and looking for somewhere interesting to eat. Usually a big fan of small plate type restaurants we decided to give Jollity a try. For it’s location, I think they’re doing a pretty good job but maybe trying a bit to hard on some dishes. Beets were my favorite dish, light and fresh. Kimchi pancakes were just too unbalanced and overly strong in flavor. Chicken meatballs were good but nothing spectacular. Marrow was not my favorite or anywhere near the best I’ve had. The buttery toast overpowered any other flavors. Scallops were a solid choice, good flavors. Korean ribs had very good flavor but the ribs were just a little too fatty. Service was excellent and the atmosphere very nice.

Jollity has been a hit every time my husband and I have eaten there in the last year. The unique menu items keep us coming back! We’ve learned that the food is amazing, but the portion sizes can sometimes be a tad smaller so we order two starters and two entrees (and maybe a dessert) so we leave full!

This place has a nice vibe. We went in for a late dinner and sat at the kitchen bar, which was fun. I was most excited to try the Brussel sprouts but was a little disappointed. It’s an amazing presentation but they are just a little too . . . much, for me. Literally, a friend and I shared the dish and I still took a large portion home, and figuratively, it was just so rich and sweet, my palette got tired of the dish after just five bites or so. The beet salad was interesting. But the scallops were fantastic – I don’t think I’ve ever had a scallop more perfectly cooked! The house sangria was very tasty. The service was excellent as well. There are several other dishes I’d like to try from their menu and I’m impressed with the number of gluten free and vegan or vegetarian dishes.

Everything was great. The brussel sprouts are a favorite of ours. The ribeye was the best I’ve ever had and the dessert was amazing. Five stars!

Passing through the Dayton area on a road trip with my husband and was looking for a sit-down restaurant. It’s recommended to make reservations, however they will take walk-ins if capacity allows. Overall food was descent, definitely over priced for what you get. It’s a smorgasbord type setup, sharing small plates of food with your party. The dishes have an unique taste. We ordered the Brussels Sprouts, Pastrami Spiced Swordfish (comes with only 4 tiny potatoes) and Fried Chicken Sando (which is a small sandwich).

Jollity is one of our favorites! The restaurant is clean and everyone is very friendly & professional. The kitchen view bar is great, as is the standard table seating so you can’t go wrong either way. We have been three or four times and had fantastic service every time. We went last weekend and had the kimchi pancake to share and I had farro grain bowl and my husband had the crispy red trout and everything was perfect right down to my drink!

This was my first time at Jollity and definitely will not be my last. I can’t believe I waited so long to have dinner at this amazing restaurant! The brussels sprouts alone are worth the visit. Delicious!

Dining at the kitchen bar seats is so fun! The food is excellent, and attention to the most minor details is obvious.

The drinks were wonderful! Very strong and well made. The tempura mushrooms were very tasty and fried very well. Not too heavy. The dishes were creative and imaginative. I was very impressed with the bold flavors and plating. Looked very professional and thought through. Lastly, the service was nothing short of fantastic. Warm welcome at the front door, quick service and a very kind and cheerful waitress named Kylie I believe, table cleared quickly by other servers passing by. I was extremely impressed with every aspect of this new hip Dayton joint. We will be back again for more!

This is my current favorite restaurant in Dayton, a great spot for people who like to constantly try new food because the menu changes uh constantly. So don’t get attached! But the desserts are truly next level taste and the food is also delicious. We went back 3x in the last monthish 🙂 def get an appetizer as portions of dinner are small.
