What happened to this place? Insanely small portions, super cheap thin cups and then raise prices! Jon Smith would never run one of his stores like this. Oh, and let’s add insult to injury and nail you with a credit card fee. Will never be back with this cheapskate owner.

I watched a man who seemed to be a manager, though I’m unsure of that, yell at another female patron in front of me! He was on the phone, and he thought that she (a woman of color mind you) was speaking to him while he was on the phone call and started yelling at her that he was busy on the phone and she should not have been trying to interrupt his phone call. When he was told by her that she had a Bluetooth earpiece in and had also been on a call and was not at all speaking to him, he did not even apologize! His attitude was disgusting. The food they serve is sub-par compared to other sandwich shops in the area, while their prices are among the highest! I often visit the Jon Smiths in Lake Park, and it is leaps and bounds better than this location. It really shows how poor management can ruin even the simplest of businesses. I will never step foot in the Royal Palm location again, and I suggest you don’t either.

The owner and workers at this Jon Smith location, make delivery drivers fill customers’ drinks. If you order from one of these food delivery services like DoorDash, Grubhub, or UberEats and you have ordered a beverage, best believe that delivery drivers, who aren’t required to wash their hands, are being trusted by the owner and workers to fill your drinks. What if the delivery driver puts the wrong drink? Then who is to blame? I found this out and was completely disgusted. Workers are supposed to have clean hands when handling food, however, they tell drivers (whose hands that are not clean) to prepare your drinks. This practice is WRONG to both the drivers and the customer! Delivery drivers aren’t being paid to do JS workers’ job! JS Royal Palm needs to change this practice ASAP!!!

There was 3 of us eating here tonight. Food was very good. Staff was very obnoxious, cursing at each other, throwing ice, throwing pickles at each other and having them on their clothes to see how long they could stay there while we were eating they continued throwing ice in Cursing just very unprofessional. we would probably not come back and eat here if these two employees still here, very very dissatisfying unprofessional.

Last couple of times we ordered from there, the chicken was not that good. Then today I didn’t have enough cash, so I was going to use my card until I saw they charge 4%. Sorry, but no thank you. First of all, they are expensive enough (especially since the quality seems to have gone down). Second of all, that’s just a cost of doing business (speaking as a former small business owner). The place is a little dirty looking, but maybe that’s just because it’s older. Next time we want John Smith’s it will be from a different location.
