Classic Arkansas bbq. Been around a long time. Pulled pork sandwich already made, wrapped, and put in a warmer. Bread is soggy. The employee working had us go behind the counter and do his job of getting and putting the coleslaw on the sandwich. That was a first for me. Not sure what it takes to win the James Beard Award but that probably aint it. Would not go back, even with their decades of being in business and awards.

The food is not worth the drive it was nastyyyyyy. The bread disappeared from all the vinegar it was straight trash. The area was clean though. The food is a -200. We threw our supposed to be sandwiches in the garbage

So this may have been the best BBQ I have ever had. 3.50 for a sandwich that literally melted in my mouth. If you are looking for something fancy, keep looking. Bit if good food is what you want…this is amazing stuff.

Lived in Arkansas all my life and tried to make my first visit to Jones Bar-B-Que, Called and asked if they were open and drove from Little Rock. Even drove passed Craigs in Devall’s Bluff to get there before noon. No one was there and called and said they had sold out for the day. I don’t know what a James’s Beard Award is but the bar must be pretty low.

I really like the taste…vinegary yet semi sweet. I have two suggestions that would make it a five. Toast My Bread so that it doesn’t get soggy. And how could we get this sauce just a little thicker? Wow, I’d give you a 10 then. The Price is Right The Taste is great. I will go back.

If you like Pork Meat, this place is for you. I recommend buying a couple of pounds and store the meat in a crockpot for later days of wanting sandwiches. The price for the sandwiches and by the pound Mr. Jones charges is so hard to beat; 7 dollars a pound(due to inflation) is still very reasonable price wise. I’m so glad I got to try it.
