As a Korean American I’d say this is in my top 3 kbbq places in the US. Nice selection of bbq and great service – they’ll come and take care of everything on the grill. You also get a good range of sauces and side dishes along with the steamed egg. As a bonus the naengmyon (cold noodles) was really good it’s the perfect dish to offset the heat of the bbq and the weather

Jongro Gopchang is literally hidden in K-Town. As you take the elevator up to the 5th floor, the door opens up to rows of beautifully decorated BBQ tables. Sit by the window and you can overlook the streets of West 32nd Street while enjoying tasty, crispy gopchang and downing Jinro.

I chose this restaurant over Gopchang Story because Gopchang Story was closed. Pork belly BBQ and side dishes were good however, Gopchang was not very good. Gopchang seemed to be pre-cooked with some seasonings and they were bitter and had a weird taste. I have been eating Gopchang since I was a child as I was born in a town that is well-known for Gopchang. I think this place is overrated and not very good at cleaning or preparing Gopchang. I won’t go back to this place for Gopchang. Sorry.

I’m so happy there a place to get gopchang and Korean bbq at the same time in New York 😀 I’ve been here a few times now and have gotten the assorted bbq (very good portions) and the large intestine. Of course fried rice is a must too. The spicy rice cakes and corn cheese are also excellent. It gets really busy around prime time but the staff are amazing and also they play a lot of 90s/00s kpop which is right up my alley!

The place was great and had a lovely vibe. The service was excellent, they were very friendly and very helpful when I couldn’t decide what to order, they helped me make a great choice, food was amazing too. They have a large meat and food selection as well and the pork was my favorite, which is saying a lot since I don’t really fancy pork.

My very first Korean gopchang experience at @jongro.gopchang ! The grilled intestines and innards were as yummy and oily as I thought they would be. Definitely a guilty pleasure but I can understand why so many people like it, and I’d probably be craving this from time to time now as well! A platter of gopchang, an order or pork belly, and a plate of japchae fed all 5 of us pretty well!

Wow just wow. Every meat was beyond high quality. Only the best cuts. Atmosphere was super lively and fun. Service was perfect. If we went a moment without kimchi or water there was more for us immediately.
