We stopped by and tried a couple of the ceviches and a shrimp causa. They looked appealing and each had a unique taste. I expect the seafood to be the star of a ceviche dish and all three dishes seemed to be lacking with this. I may go back and try a main dish, but the ceviche was just not what I was expecting

This place houses the first establishment in California. Yes, San Jose was the first city to be inhabited in California.

The classic ceviche is unique and interesting. They use tiger’s milk, a tangy liquid, to cure the fish, which you can see in the photo. It also comes with fried corn nuts which give it a nice taste of fat, corn, seaweed, and yam. I wanted more carbs in my meal but it was definitely interesting and authentic.

Ordered the beef and fries lomo saltado as well as the tallarines pesto with chicken. Overall flavor was good. Order at the kiosk and they will text your phone number when it’s ready. The names on the screen don’t all match the signs above nor the traditional Peruvian names. Aka the beef and fries lomo saltado was called sauteed beef and fries.

Great new place in the San Pedro Market!!! This place has so many food options including vegan ceviche. I had the fried plantains and the purple corn drink ( I cannot remember the name but it tastes amazing ). My brother in law is from Peru and was super excited by this place. The food is authentic and flavorful. The Alfajores were AMAZING. Perfect flavor and texture. Definitely will be a regular stop for me.

The Lomo saltado was amazing, perfectly seasoned, nice crunchy oven roasted potatoes and onions, and tender sautéed beef. Great choice if you’re not sure what to get, and the staff is nice and helpful to figure out what you might be in the mood for.
