We found Josanne’s first by searching Google restaurants. I ordered the fried chicken with a side of cabbage, and a side of creamy coleslaw. Great steaming hot chicken and very flavorful cabbage. My wife & daughter split an order of chicken strips with green beans and mac & cheese. They loved both sides. And, they loved the hot water corn bread.

Josanne’s Homestyle Kitchen will make you feel… at home! Their food is delicious and always made to order. I’ve been stuck on the chicken and waffles (with 2 sides) since the very first visit and I have never been disappointed. Portion size for the price is a “steal” and the kool-aid…. OMG, it is marvelous and quite large!

Ordered carry out for the first time tonight after having heard rumors of how good the chicken is. The rumors all proved to be very true, if not understated. The sides (we had cabbage and Mac n cheese) were the best sides I’ve had! My wife was over the moon that they had fried cabbage, then even more pleasantly surprised when it was amazing! The chicken was hot and fresh and the juiciest I’ve had in a long time. I got the chicken love 8 piece meal, which came with two sides. The most pleasant surprise and my personal favorite was the cornbread. Needless to say, we won’t be going anywhere else for chicken and I am now dying to try the rest of the menu!

Best cabbage I’ve had at a soul food spot in Lexington. Fresh greens were good too, the right amount of spice. I’ll be back for more sides, the catfish was fresh and tasty too.

Delicious! Just like home–Mine and Mom’s! Crispy Fried pork chop, perfectly sweetened yams, tasty Mac ‘n cheese, and Cornbread Ho cakes. Will definitely visit again next time in Lexington!

This place was great! We both got the chicken tender basket. One with mac & cheese and french fries which the mac & cheese was the best I have ever had including homemade. The other was with baked beans and green beans. I am not a fan of barbecue baked beans but from this place I cleaned my plate. The green beans were also very tasty better than I was expecting. The total did come to be right under $20 which surprised me but I would gladly pay it again for good food. The strawberry cake is also pretty good however I can tell that it is from the box because it is one of my favorite cakes and I make it often, I would expect a little more for a restaurant, and the price tag for a slice. Also the only downside is once ordering I had to wait 20 minutes to get my food and there was only one person ahead of me. None of these down sides would prevent me from going back I am actually looking forward to going back and trying the white fish platter. I am glad we gave it a shot. #staylocal

I ordered door dash while at work. The catfish, green beans, and cornbread fritters were delicious. Mac and cheese is one of the bests from a restaurant I’ve ever had. Will definitely be exploring the menu.
