Found this place by accident and I’m very glad that we did. The food was excellent and by far the best tasting than any Mexican place I’ve ever eaten at. The salsa was so good that our very nice server, Gabriel, packed some for us to go. Not only was the food good, the presentation was great as well. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone who is done eating at other chain Mexican restaurants.

An above average Mexican restaurant in St Louis. More Tex-Mex than traditional Mexican, not that that’s a bad thing, just so you are aware. Service was fantastic, and our waiter made it a more enjoyable evening with his humor. Drinks were very good as well.

Not satisfying at all ☹not sure how this place has 4.4 stars. Our experience was not good at all. First we had a groupon so we weren’t allowed any of the happy hour prices???? That makes no sense to me. It’s not like we had two coupons we were trying to use. It was happy hour!!! The chips and salsa eh? Chips seemed stale or just hard and salsa was just okay. The queso dip was good though. Our food was not the greatest. Steak taco was okay. Beans not! Took one bite tasted like canned refined beans! Steak quesadilla the cheese tasted weird like too soft or something just not to our liking. One other thing that I didn’t like was our waitress took our chip basket to refill and never came back with it and we had bought queso dip??? So first impression not good and don’t think we will go back. I’ll just stick to our favorite El Tio!

We’ve been comin to Jose’s since he opened! We LOVE the food, atmosphere and the staff. Jose works so hard and is ALWAYS visible for his customers. He wants you to enjoy his good as much as he does! We’ve had almost every appetizer and every menu item. My new favorite go to is the carnitas plate with white rice. Yummy!!!! My son always eats the all beef nachos. Sorry the pics don’t do justice this time… We were SO hungry and it was so good we had several bites before the pics were taken.
