Went here on a whim yesterday and got the Jose special. It’s a MASSIVE burrito the size and width of a 8month old baby. Very flavorful but not overly salty. This will definitely be my new go to place.

Stopped by for a few tacos to get me through a long commute. Tacos were a good size and had plenty of meat. Asada taco was delicious. Carnitas was okay. Red salsa had a nice kick, but I preferred the green salsa.

I have been coming to Jose’s 1999 and they have consistently been my absolute favorite taco shop. I moved from the area up to near the Oregon border and crave their tacos. I have searched high and low for tacos that compare to no avail. Luckily, I still have family in the area and can stop in during visits. Not only is the food good but the service is good and the place is always clean.

The best refried beans! Great carne asada taco. Always great. Hate they can’t have the salsa, carrots, onions bar open because of covid. I think they charge for carrots now, so I skip them.

Red salsa is screaming hot, ordered the bacon breakfast burrito with beans…Parking is a drag in this busy area. When working near here, I’d return as its a minutes drive to the freeway and it’s competitively priced.

Low quality, high prices, and not very clean. I am not sure why the ratings are high. Ordered 3 tacos 1 chicken, 2 beef, for $13, the food didn’t come with chips, so I ordered chips. The price on menu was much lower than the bill. After I paid, the cashier told me the tacos are very big. Wasn’t much help after I had just paid. Regardless, the meat was tasteless, full of juice, and soggy. You are better off with Rubio’s, they are much cleaner, the food is much better, and the price is much reasonable for what you get. This place used to be good, but it is no longer a “good” Mexican food.

BEST Breakfast Burrito!! Everything is made fresh. They get up early in the morning and start a fresh batch of carrots and peppers. YUMMY! No breakfast burrito anywhere compares to Jose’s. They have a lot of great food too. But we will always go for the carrots, salsa and breakfast burritos. Great staff too!
