JAPAN (via Eat the World Los Angeles) – The namesake Josui ramen ($10.80) has the pork and chicken stock the shop is recognized for, and is almost always the bowl underneath the customers who come to solo slurp. This is a good indication that it should be your starting point on the menu, despite its very simple look and presentation. Plenty of extras are listed on the menu if you desire, but the bowl without additional toppings is just as good as anything.

This is a great locals spot. It is a pretty traditional ramen joint but they do have AC which is unusual and appreciated. They have multiple broths and that is always nice. I went with the Josui Ramen and added an egg. The broth was very good and what I expect of a pork type broth. The egg was perfectly jammy in the middle one would hope for with a ramen egg. Great location, not too far off the freeway. Easy parking in the evenings and on weekends. Solid ramen and good options. Definitely will return.

The food was good, the staff was great and it was a nice cozy space. I had their Tantan Ramen and it was super delish. The broth was nice and thick with a bit of spice. What was a surprise too was when the waiter brought out a bucket of toys for my daughter to choose from. Definitely a kid friendly place. I highly recommend this place for food and family comfort.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and just got around to it because my vegan ramen loving niece was in town and I took this opportunity to come here.

Ramen spot off the beaten path. Came here for dinner with a couple of friends right at 5:30 when they opened. There was a small line and there’s a list where you can write your name down for when it’s a busier time. Got the maze soba which wasn’t too spicy but had good flavor. We also split an order of gyoza (5 pieces) which were on the smaller side it came freshly fried. The service was nice and prompt.

This ramen spot was great for its price. It was $10-$12 bux per ramen. The broth was decent and the noodles were cooked perfectly. I did find the chashu to be a little too fatty and less flavorful. If you need ramen craving to be fixed, this place will do.

Wife found this place while visiting. Small, easy to miss joint but the food is SO GOOD! Firstly, service was very good – the staff was so friendly, there was a slight language barrier but not an issue at all. The menu is not too intimidating: small menu but what we got did not disappoint. Started w/ duck app that was very flavorful. Really enjoyed the KOSOBA JOSUI/SHOYU RAMEN: what a great garlic broth! Also had the MISO ramen that was layered and nuanced in its flavor. This place is GOOD.

Excellent ramen place. Great prompt service. Had the Signature Josui Ramen. The broth is flavored just right, with a rounded mouth feel. The added egg we ordered is not tamago but cooked to perfection with the egg white having a bouncy texture and the yolk medium rare. Highly recommend!
