The food here is absolutely incredible! We ordered 7 plates and 2 desserts for two people; this was definitely pushing it in terms of the sheer amount ordered, but once there I wanted to try everything. Every dish was amazing, but my favorites were the smoked tofu, the mackerel, and the watermelon salad. (Please forgive my terrible pictures, in more than one I forgot to take a picture until we’d already eaten half.)

We had a reservation for a Wednesday evening at 5:30 and were one of the only people in there- I love that but if that’s not your jam, it gets a lot busier later in the evening. Our service was exceptional, the waiter gave us plenty of recommendations, our water was frequently filled, and food came out quickly but not too quickly that our dishes felt rushed.

Happened upon this restaurant on the Eater 38! I don’t rely much on Google when visiting such a tourist forward city, so always thankful of articles like that. This restaurant was outstanding!!! Dishes were vibrant and creative and seasoned so incredibly well. The wine list was creative and local and each wine we tried was delicious! Our server Madeline was attentive and thoughtful and even brought a birthday dessert when we were too full to order one. 10/10. Really really recommend the seam buns and rice cakes!

Great introduction into korean food. The main dishes are western takes on traditional Korean foods. Korean food can often be unforgiving in flavor/textures. Joule does a good job of catering the unique Korean flavor into a western palate.

Friendly service but waiter had to keep checking with kitchen re simple questions on ingredients. Expensive but what isn’t nowadays. Dislike when restaurants add 4% grat and still expect 20%

Great food, cool atmosphere, and friendly staff! For two people, we shared the scallion pancake, smoked tofu, crispy cauliflower, and the burger, and everything was delicious, though lacking in familiar Korean flavors. Maybe it was the dishes we got, but the most Korean thing was the side dish of kimchi we ordered. Regardless, all was very tasty! The mushrooms on the smoked tofu were a stand-out, and the curry sauce mayo for the cauliflower was phenomenal. The burger was simple but easily one of the best I’ve ever had! The meat grind was heavenly and all the ingredients were fresh and super high quality. Both desserts we tried, the hummingbird cake and the cheesecake, were decadent and the perfect mix of sweet and savory. I’d definitely come back to try more – maybe I can be convinced of the Korean element of the fusion.

Anything I write will not do Joule proper justice. This is a world class dining experience. I dined with a group of six and we did a family style sharing.

Sat at the bar and had the spicy rice cake, beef tartare, and Chinese scallion pancake. All were quite enjoyable. Staff was really nice. Good place to hang out.
